  • This. Overpackaged packing material.

I remember reading somewhere that Pringles tubes are just about the worst for recycling, being made of three different materials.

  • my father-in-law was French. He always pronounced crisps like this

  • I have nothing but highest amount of love & respect for the French

  • well, seeing as I married a half-French woman and so that makes my two sons quarter-French then I do too.

  • put the escape character () in front of the first

If you want to show someone the escape character, put an escape character in front of your escape character to escape the escape character, or call it a backslash.
    (\) Which is actually (\\)
    (Which is actually (\\\\) etc).

  • Or that.

  • Oh dear, pwned myself there, didn't I. :)

  • Hair of the dog is your friend.

  • Things I know about Pringles:

    1) they were invented to monetise waste oil from soap production
    2) they were designed to pack more efficiently than potato crisps, making them a more efficient product to ship
    3) the first version was a flop because of the taste, but the economic case for the product was so strong that they kept trying til they got the taste right
    4) the little lunchbox pringle holder was sized such that there will be a few spare Pringles left after the last filling, with the intention that the parent packing the lunchbox would also develop a Pringles habit

  • They are also pretty decent fire starters in a pinch

  • You can add 'their manufacturing process requires aerodynamic simulations with a supercomputer' to the list.

  • Damn. I hate Pringles and everything they stand for, but that's really cool

  • I quite like salted Pringles. Now I hate myself.

  • Bacon Pringles are vegan. Salt n vinegar ones aren’t. That’s fucked up.

  • Plsnexplain. That is madness

  • Milk(ish) is my guess.

When my OH had to remove dairy we were amazed at all the random shit that had milk in it.

  • Corn, soy, and wheat seem to be ubiquitous too.

  • Pouting. Stop, it looks silly

Also, lip fillers. Almost never looks natural.

  • Almost never looks natural

Definitely! See also facelifts, chin tucks, most facial botox, etc...

And dyed beards that are trying to look natural. Embrace the grey! (I have)

  • Embrace the grey!

  • Vespas - they look, sound and smell shit. Is there some kind of design genius that I just don't get because I'm not a moped rider? Or is it just the whole mod scene thing?

  • Things I know about Pringles:

    1) they were invented to monetise waste oil from soap production

Can you point me towards a source for this?

  • People who do this aren't trying to look natural, they are trying to look idealised. There is a subtle but important difference.

  • Pringles was subjected to a 17.5% VAT, a rate used for potato crisps and potato-derived snacks. P&G lawyers successfully contested this decision. Lawyers for Procter & Gamble argued that Pringles were not truly crisps, despite being labeled "Potato Crisps" on their container. It was argued that Pringles shape is not found in nature and that the potato content was only 42%.

Love they are proud if this fact!
    (42% potato)
