When I get drunk at work it has a negative effect.

My regular commute is back on and I'm getting out each weekend for a 90km ish blast.
Started loosing a bit.
Not bad.I have, however, noticed that if I let myself get hungry I will make bad decisions and end up smashing a packet of hobnobs or buying fruit pastilles or some bullshit without realising.
Key to weight loss = Don't get hungry?

New baby and paternity leave meant 5 weeks without touching a bike. Throw in every day featuring at least two of the following;
Folks stopping by to sniff the baby, armed with cake/sweets.
An effort to get out of the house with the baby which invariably ends up incorporating a cafe/pub stop for cake/ice cream/pies/3 course pub lunches and beers.
Booze under guise of baby head wetting.Means I have to find my legs again and have a stone to shift :(

Key to weight loss = Don't get hungry?
Certainly worked for me over the last 5 months or so. Upping the protein/fat content of meals has kept me fuller for long so less likely to snack. Also cutting right back on sugary foods (in the morning particularly) means less dips in energy and less hunger though the day.
Have lost half a stone since February with no real increase in exercise levels. -

This is big issue though.
I find I can lose weight easier when I'm not training.
Coming home from a 3000 Cal ride. I somehow still manage to over eat. If I'm doing a lot of volume I don't want to under eat too much and effect recovery.
My tact is to eat loads of fiber. Not sure it's working really.

defintinelky agree that the keys is not to get starving, otherwise bad things happen, hungry is ok though...
turns out going on holiday and eating 5 times a day including at least one cream tea will make you put on weight even if you train loads and don't drink, this was a real shock to me, thankfully half the weight I put on in a week seems to have disappeared already just form returning to a more standards 3 times a day plus snacks, hopefully back in the 72s by the time I race again next week.

Remember that biscuit spread stuff that everyone raved about? Well, today I was in Tesco and saw they had a range of biscuit spreads: bourbon, custard cream, etc. Just putting that out there.

I've piled on 4kgs in the past 4 weeks, moving house, not riding enough and too much procrastin-eating.
Must drop back to 70kg!
-
• #9715
I cant seem to get under 77kg. At least not consistantly.
Too much interval training. Not enough calorie burning long rides.

So two weeks of eating shit American food and not running/riding much over the last few months has given me a wee belly and pushed me over 70kg again(I'm 5'10). Well aware that's not overweight but I feel every extra kg when climbing or at work.
I've replaced breakfast and lunch with Huel(500cal per meal) and just started TurboFire workout. LadyLiz is a big fan of long-term fitness DVD programs so thought we'd give it a whirl. It's v cardio oriented. Did day one just now, only 45min but nearly threw up.
Aim is to drop to below 65kg and get my 6pack back. Might be nice to be running half marathon distance in 2hr comfortably again.
Just need some motivation :/ -

Just need some motivation :/
Haha. Didn't you two do the Insanity program a couple of years ago? Nutters.
My doctor has (eventually) diagnosed me with chronic fatigue syndrome so I am having a whale of a fucking time getting fatter and fatter and not really finding any useful methods of dealing with it. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yup we did Insanity, it's just good old fashioned army/american football drills mashed together. It was hard and we both put on muscle and lost a ton of weight but felt less sustainable long-term(for us) than other things we've done. Liz has done ToneItUp BeachBabes program to the letter(food and workout) for a year and has found it easy to stick to in comparison. Plan is to do the full 20 weeks of TurboFire then redo Insanity like a boss. Hate working out 6 days/week but won't feel guilty if I skip Saturday's to ride or go climbing.
Get well soon Bothwell!!

That sounds shit.
Poor sleep quality/amount? -

I can't seem to lose any more weight. Been really good too. Hopefully it's just a temporary plateau.

Poor sleep quality/amount?
I get plenty of sleep and as far as I can tell it seems of fairly normal quality. One of the "standard" symptoms is "unrefreshing sleep", and that seems accurate - it's not the same as the insomnia or the waking-up-all-the-time tiredness types.
There's many more symptoms than just feeling tired, unfortunately. It's been hanging about for almost 2 years now, and supposedly most people get spontaneously better after a couple of years, so fingers crossed I'll make a miracle recovery soon and then achieve my dream of beating the Hour record. Haha lol. Seriously, though.

I imagine there's a whole host of side effects of chronic fatigue.
Hope there's an answer.
I'd like to get my name on one of those papers please
