Doing okay at this lark at the moment. Completely sick of bonking on the slog home after work though.

same. consistent loss is heartening, but feeling like shit when I get through the door of an evening is massively tedious. just keep focussing on the benefits.

Still going well at the minute, solved the afternoon bonk with a couple of handfuls of peanuts an hour or so before I leave. It at least delays the bonk.
Anyway, new target of 70kg. The weekend should smash any hopes of that! -

76.3kg atm- Which my scales reckon is 10/11% fat. How accurate are BIA scales generally? Is there any better way i can calculate body fat myself?
-
• #9557
Not really. You could book a DEXA scan or one of those float tank ones and then work out the error on your scales but that's about it.

Pod is more accurate than bioimp and less costly than the float tank (i think).

Have been doing 2 mile walks in my lunch break which have not only helped me burn a few calories but also helped me find new interesting places near work

Finally my weight is just under 14 stone after being 15.5 at the beginning of the year.
Still hoping to lose another 7 lbs.
Though I am not always rigorous portion control has really helped. This year I have been to a few fine restaurants and had tasting menus and eaten a number of tubs of Ben and Jerry's. 5:2 diet has also been helping. Once I get to target weight the plan will to continue with portion control and calorie restrict one day a week.

You need to play Ingress
-
• #9562
Have downloaded. Simon is worried that I am joining a cult.

You might also like The Walk by Six To Start (same people who did Zombies! Run!). Haven't played it yet but it's supposed to be quite good. Not really interactive like Ingress, though, more of a pedometer-enabled audiobook.

You're already both members of LFGSS, joining another cult will have repercussions. >:(

Slight relapse this week, as my parents have been visiting. So lots of eating and little training.
Still 76kg.
Found a pic from a couple years ago when I was more like 88kg. Not a climbers physique....Dat gut. :-O

I shall stand on the scales tomorrow for the first time in ages- any bets?
-
• #9567
10/1 they break with a comedy ejection of cogs and springs.
-
• #9569
The cogs and springs would be within my event horizon - no escape.

You should change your name to Dammit A* then?

And some guesswork from the scales:
-
• #9572
Heh, OCD much? Must put white scales on a white tile, of the same size, and line it up perfectly.
It's kinda satisfying to see.
-
• #9573
But top left there's a black tile where it should be white.
The horror

Started trying to bring my weight down after an absolute blowout in Italy, down to 97kg.
Cutting down on carbs and just trying to get out on my bike more.

I tend to find if I exclude one food group I eat more of another. Try looking at portion size/control. If you eat reasonably size meals and combine this with exercise you may be pleasantly surprised.
110kg. Will check back after gastric bypass.
