I know what you're saying hippy. But for me it creates a bad cycle. I don't eat as well and engage in less activity so it's not just the calories in booze.

Yeah this .. went from 84kg to 72kg to 64kg now with 3.6 w/kg .. only scotch (neat) once a week for couple of drinks.
BUT since hippy is calling bullshit I might get back to beer ;)

I've pretty much excised alcohol from my life. Something like once a month I'll have a couple of glasses of wine and that's it. I'm still a fat fuck, and getting fatter and fatter.
Riddle me that.

Month off the booze starts now. Hoping it'll accelerate weight loss and readjust my drinking levels.

3.6 w/kg
What is this?
Amazing effort btw -

That's very impressive, must have been a bit torturous / dull. The scotch only booze thing is a very classy method by the way. Unless it's aldi own brand...

It's power to weight ratio but for an unspecified time interval. Obvious guess is FTP so that's the top end of Cat 4 and/or bottom end of Cat 3.

Had a free healthcheck as part of my Vitality health insurance (through work).
Surprised at having excellent figures for the random glucose test (3.9mmol/L after fasting for 10 hours) and cholesterol (total 3.60mmol/L, HDL 1.41mmol/L and TC/HDL ratio 2.5). Blood pressure spot on (127/82), resting heart rate a bit high (for me) at 61bpm but then I tend to get a bit of white coat hypertension.
Just need to work on BMI (currently 27.92).

weight loss seems to have stalled, but i am down to 73, frustrating...
probably partly due to not eating enough during the day on Saturday while at a stag do, and ended up shovelling my face with a load of trash at about midnight, this then continued throughout Sunday...
Oh well, back on it now...

portion sizes, obvs.
-
• #9519
Nah.
Portion sizes are low. Maybe 150 cal of veg for each meal and one chicken breast (no additives / sauces etc) & no more than 75g of muesli.

How much water are you drinking?
-
• #9521
Maybe 3 to 4 pints a day
-
• #9522
Could be that with those meals, your body is actually able to build what needs building... cleanly.
-
• #9523
Have you done a poop in that time?
-
• #9524
2 days of diet doesn't tell you anything.
-
• #9525
Yes.
^ Pics at the end of the week please.
