  • Although I think I might actually be in America. This was yesterday's dinner.

I went there the other day too. Fucking. Amazing. It was all perfectly cooked and not even that pricey. Miles ahead of Bodeans.

  • Looks palæo to me. Those carbs aren't processed, they are just fried. I'm sure the cavemen fried shit all the time. I mean, if you are going to eat insects, eggs, and baby animals* it has to be fried, yeah?

*I saw on wikipedia this quote about chimp's diet

about 95% plant-based, with the remaining 5% filled with insects, eggs, and baby animals.

  • The pork was a little dry but I still ate it. Price was awesome considering the portions.

    Weight/Fat Loss? mhwahahahaha

  • Yar. It's my epic gainz diet.

  • I've been there a bit recently. I'm going to be a bodybuilder - cycling's too hard.

  • its interesting how the bodybuilder forum is like 90% horrible 4channery and 8% people posting links to peer reviewed journals, debunking 'bro science', giving good technical researched advice on training and eating etc. and 2% legit funny.

  • I've managed hit BMI 22 again and am on course to sail by it.

Over the last 7 weeks I've averaged 1KG weight loss per week.

Who knew I ate that much ice cream?

  • Up to 97kg after the summer, back on the low carbs before uni to try and absorb some of the damage from freshers, and then seeing about losing it all again when uni routine kicks in.

  • I'm slim, but not as slim as I'd like to be and am constantly battling to try and lose the fat around my belly, anyone got any suggestions?
I ride a 15 mile round trip commute, eat fruit & fibre w/yoghurt for breakfast, a quorn ham & salad baguette for lunch, and then a decent meal for dinner, such as spagbol, or "sausage" & mash, or chilli etc. I don't eat meat, and am avoiding crisps/chocolate/snacks and am drinking very little atm. Oh also I have a chocolate milkshake when I get home from work because I think I struggle for protein generally (muscle fatigue, slow recovery etc).
I've also recently started following this:
    http://www.military.com/military-fitness/weight-loss/lose-love-handles
    (cue lolz about title)
Albeit only recently, so it's maybe too soon to know if it's working.
Anyone see any glaring problems? I know my diet doesn't seem amazing, but I'm the kinda person who has to enjoy my food to be able to hold down a regime for any amount of time!

  • Portion control. Weigh everything. I have granola with yoghurt and fruit for breakfast (usually) - my instinctive portion size is much larger than the measured-and-actually-enough 40g....

  • Having slacked off the exercise recently I have caught a glimpse of just how fat I would be if I didn't run and cycle.

  • Today I have eaten yogurt, a chocolate croissant, a protein shake, some tuna + sweetcorn, a few slices of pizza, a couple of cookies, some chocolate ice cream and now a beer.

  • Weight loss program for the last two months officially sidetracked.

  • Unintended side effects of weight loss:

    1. I fit trousers I purchased 5 years ago and couldn't wear at the time as I was gaining weight too fast and had purchased them optimistically... I'm now out of fashion.
    2. I no longer fit the suit I purchased 3 months ago for my wedding.

    On both counts... feck.

Not entirely sure what to do, I've lost 4 inches from my waist in a couple of months, and it's ruining my wardrobe. I dress like shite, what clothes I have that fit they are quite worn, and I haven't the means to acquire clothes that now fit.

My wardrobe is basically a pair of worn cords (too large), a pair of jeans (too short), 2 pairs of trousers (way out of fashion), a few T-shirts (too large), a few shirts (too large), a suit (too large), a couple of jackets (too large and quite worn).

I look like David Byrne circa Talking Heads most of the time.

The only stuff that still fits is cycling gear. The miracle of Assos Large bib shorts adapting to all sizes continues to be true.

  • The obvious answer is to get married in your bib shorts. Wedding photos to look back on and treasure, and no mistake.

  • Fussy git. I'm still wearing jeans I'd owned in Oz for 5 years. They're almost half my life old! Few patches in the cockandballs area and good to go. Wedding attire would be the shorts I wore to primary school...

  • Have lots of classic 32 items bought in charity shops before the recession hit if you are interested.

Otherwise I can go shopping for you at TRAID in Camden Town. They are very good.

  • Uniqlo are reissuing their +j Jil Sander colab. Always found them good for tall skinny guys :) http://www.uniqlo.com/uk/plusj/men/

Perhaps not for getting married in but a good way to stock up for regular usage.

  • Get the trousers of your suit taken in and wear a waistcoat under your jacket. My wedding suit jacket was too big, waistcoat helped fill it out. I went for a linen one to go with the tweed.

  • 4inches is a bit much to have taken in...

  • Weight loss has become peace of piss since giving up alcohol .. 67.8kg now

    Fixed.

  • 4inches is a bit much to have taken in...

Exactly... the whole shape is pretty much ruined.

I've been looking at something like http://www.kingandallen.co.uk/ to try and get something made to measure for around £400.

More pain for the credit card, but who wants to look ridiculous on their wedding day?

  • And if it's a small size you'll be forced to stay that size!
Which is what I did with my last suit.
