  • Why lbs?

  • Sounds like more?

  • I see kidboy lurking. Fill in your data man!

  • Because its the bigger number and it'll drop quicker = motivashun

  • -3.88% in 7 days.

Must have been a big meal before my initial weigh-in...

  • Where are you Scoot? Thought you were joining the fun!

I'm awaiting the delivery of my scales from Amazon! I weighed myself on two different scales whilst in Wales and one said 9.5 stone and the other said 8 so I'm unwilling to take either of those as true. I'll put a median in for now though and update it with accurate readings next week.

  • How do I make all the percentage columns work?

  • columns fixed - just drag the formula down from the cell above

Sorry about that, my phone has taken a dslike to lfgss and keeps crashing, updated now.

  • Added a week by week chart. Can't seem to add a scale to the bottom though.

  • 1st training session back on the exercise study.... vomited.
    good times...

  • can anyone recommend some good and not too expensive scales?

  • I use a salter bodywise, I got it for £20, but the price seems to have gone up since.
It gives the same weight as the high tech scale in the hospital does.

  • The lifting heavy weights bit? Yes, everything that it says there is true.

In related news, I qualified to be a fitness instructor at the weekend.

  • Only 10 to 12 and I've eaten my lunch (1x apple and 2 pate sandwiches) already. This seems to happen every Monday morning. I think It's the transition of moving from weekend eating habits to working week eating habits.

What can I eat this afternoon which isn't going to be high in calories but will fill me up for a little bit. Besides more water and green tea.

Chocolates have just been handed out around the office. Was hard to say no. But I did!

  • A lot of that is a good read, like the parts about keeping yourself fuller on water. Cut down your portion size is another small but in the long term good thing to do.

    my thoughts exactly

  • Also as this is a cycling forum;

Say you go out cycling mid to long distance (40-70) miles. Like most people I arrive back hungry. What can I actually eat? I don't think there'd be anyway of cycling that far and not eating anything at all.

I usually have a bowl of porridge before I go cycling (with some jam chucked in)

  • Eat what you'd use in races.
If you're not racing, eat what is convenient, affordable, nutritious and most importantly palatable.

  • Post vigorous exercise your body will be craving all nutrients, so you can eat almost any meal and it will make the most of it. From a weight loss standpoint- you probably want to define your portion size before you go out for the ride, making sure its fully balanced, so you can just whack it together and be satiated asap.

  • At Mick Fucking well done son.
I'll buy you 2 G's when I next see you.

  • I find it really hard post long hard exercise not to eat everything I can grab, but you want something high in protein for recovery and fat tends to fill you up.

I was hungry all afternoon yesterday so snacked on some leftover chicken as well which got me through till dinner time.

  • Went for a 15km mountain run yesterday. As the day was manic, I had'nt really eaten or drunk beforehand. As it was -5C, once I'd bonked I had to keep going for fear of freezing (no fecking phone, idiot). At one point of the assent, I thought a rock had loosened and fallen into my face, only to discover it was my face falling into the rock.

Got to in-laws, to a sunday dinner. Drank 1 Ltr of water, and ate next to nothing. I just could'nt. I'm eating OK today, but feel I'm missing a shit load of caleries still. I'm weight training tonight. Should I try and eat a bit more, or just have a normal dinner and HTFU.

    I think I've finally broken myself :S
