  • I haven't turbo trained for a couple of years, do they have electric motors now?

  • 88kg today. Been ill this week (tonsilitis) and so not eaten as much but also not done exercise since Sunday.

  • Most use some kind of electromagnetic resistance units controlled by their head units or apps. As far as I'm aware none of them 'require' Zwift but I am using old tech.

Only an idiot would buy a trainer that only works with Zwift. :)

  • Interesting, thanks.

Not great, but food reward is the only area I'm a disaster in it seems...

Eating too much (i.e. portion control) in one go is my main problem. I don't snack that much although when I do it's not healthy.

  • That's really interesting, Sleep being the biggest point for me (1.7). Not really that surprising tbh, I suck at sleeping.
Could do with both more sleep and exercise I reckon.

  • Everything is yellow, but if I replace a few "disagree" with "strongly disagree" no doubt those go green.

Does anybody exist with all greens? I mean, really, people that always sleep well and always exercise with no stress? Pfff....

  • Everything of mine is yellow and red. No wonder #hippyisfat

Food Reward (I ate a whole Vienetta to myself last night) and Stress (mostly self-inflicted since my life should be comfortable but I make it hard work)

  • Yeah, pro athletes.

But then if you ask them they will likely be stressed to fuck because if they don't perform, they don't get paid, fail to progress, don't get to compete where they want, etc. It's all self-induced stress. People in war-torn countries are hardly going to be filling out weight loss surveys :)

  • Be interesting to see how my missus rates our food environment. I reckon it's probably green most of the time, but if you let me do any shopping it's game over.

  • Ain't got time to fill out surveys! These breakfast biscuits won't eat themselves y'know.

  • as a little example of this.

I weight myself when I get up, after a wee, before I consume anything to attempt to get comparable readings. The other day I weighed myself again in the evening. As expected I was heaver (about .6kg). The body fat estimation from the bioimpedance scales was heavily affected by the contents of my stomach and my hydreation. So much so that it thinks I gained 2 kg of muscle in 12 hours.

Anyway, my point is. Don't get too hung up on the difference between 2 measurements.

    Date Weight	Fat Bone	Muscle
    26,02,18 18:22	82.43	16.01	3.29	63.11
    26,02,18 06:12	81.79	17.4	3.2 61.18

  • do the survey, reward yourself with a tub of ice cream

  • breakfast biscuits

    No, just... no.

  • Maybe I should plot mine out so all the snowflakes (is that the right term to use these days?) worried about tiny fluctuations can see what happens to the world's greatest and most modest human and then they'll all calm down.

  • 1.3 on sleep! I'm not trying to lose weight but seems like I should probably do something about that...

  • I know bioimpedance doesn't work BECAUSE I KNOW I'M FUCKING RIPPED but my scales say i'm a bit chubby. Something is wrong here and it ain't me.

  • The manfriend loves granola but i really need to teach him to weigh it, it's one of those easy "eat too much" foods like nuts :)

  • Sounds like Fatty Denial™ to me.

  • I just don't eat granola. It's lovely but it's fucking high cal.

Nuts I'm struggling with. I think changing my eating habits at work mean I'm getting far less salt than I used to and I properly crave salted pistachios for the last few months. Like, never before have I been a savoury food craver, always sweet stuff, but that last few months I've eaten an entire country supply of those little green bastards.

    Food Reward: 3.6 (Green)

  • Yes.

Nowadays I have an alarm set at 10:30pm to try and encourage me to get to bed. Normally I ignore it but sometimes it makes a slight difference so i think it helps, ie. if it gets me between tasks I'm more inclined to stop and go to bed rather than start something else. Last night I just had to watch another movie though...
