  • Thanks for that highly veiled compliment. I had to google him!! He is my era but must have passed me by. I might get him to do my makeup. After my footie incident I need all the help I can get!! 5 hours in hospital yesterday ruined my streak.

  • Managed to resist opening the massive pack of chili heat wave Doritos sat next to me last night.

    Then CBA to get out of bed for the turbo this morning.

  • I went out yesterday for a hilly but shortish audax then went out to a gig last night and got battered. Still got DOMS from Thurs morning gym?! so I'm going to be sitting around the house all day today I think. Maybe I'll do something on the turbo later just to turn the legs but I think today will be a rest day essentially.

  • Ramen to warm up after a freezing ride, screw diet/macros today, I can’t feel my face.

  • massive hunger after Saturdays 20 mile run, think I've just about go over it now, was at 74.5kg on Friday so 5kg down on the year, and into the "normal" band of BMI, hopefully I haven't ruined that!

  • Ate all the things, did nothing yesterday after going on Sat. At least I got a ride in on Sat but yeah most weekends seem to involve lazy hangovers. You'd think I'd have learned by now.

    1400>1500 now to 1600 calories this week. Then next week 1700, then 1800 and check if my body fat stays level with that.

    With a bit of calculation work my last maintenance calories (and I count exercise calories) were 1820. I'm calling it 1800 for now.

    The Ketch-McArdle calculations that use bodyfat give me 1700 if I type sedentary. Which I am not as I don't count my weights training. But if I use light exercise it's 1945. Which I know is too high again (though it sorta works if I don't count my cycling but then if I cycle more...etc. etc.)

    It just again gets to show calculations are never super accurate, you gotta refine yourself and that weights training is good, a 100 calories extra a day is pleasant.

  • Don't keep doing the same thing if it is not working. people are different and this calorie in/calorie out is not an exact science. If all you are doing is steady state cardio, try doing something like HITT to up your metabolism. or even weight training. You could try changing type of calories and when you eat them like some people here.
