  • Chips are fucking awesome. Stop trying to be edgy Dan.

"oh, chips, yeah, don't get them. Hot bread with cheese though. UNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGH. SALIVAS"

  • And pasta is just wet bread.

  • Your just wet bread

  • SNAP. I lost weight because gluten free bread and butter doesnt make me feel safe and happy like the full gluten version does

  • ^gluttony free more like then.

  • I am a bit concerned by how accurately this describes my feelings toward bread

  • Found some scales in work;

    24/02/16 - 96.7kg

  • I burnt 3500 to 4500 extra cals a day cycling last week, on my cycling
trip, and still ended the week 400g heavier.

This week the weight is dropping off nicely though.

Seems the cycling trip has kick started a bit of loss. I assume this is my body using Cals to repair and replenish after a massive week on the bike. Looking at my weight curve, I seem to have finally recovered from Xmas.

I'd like to stabilise at 76kg. Which should be doable. Thats at least 10kg off rugby weight, and I've commited to a tournament in April. Bit worried about that. But its a big bonus on the bike.

  • This'll be the first time I've played contact rugby Without being in the moderatly obese BMI cat.

Hope I'm light enough to run away from folk...........

  • I am mega unmotivated at the moment. Been doing a small-portion low-carb week/whatever weekend since new years and not noticing any real difference except perhaps less hunger cravings/afternoon slump. Should probably put batteries in the scales and measure things properly but I'm wondering if I need to cut out weekend beers and carbs too :(

  • Got emailed pictures of half marathon from the weekend, despite a good time, they show that I definitely have flubber to go, might by them and stick them on the fridge and phone to remind me that I really don't need half a packet of biscuits, ever. Think I've got into the mind-set that because I'm training hard it doesn't matter what I eat, and this really isn't the case!

  • Any myfitnesspal users who predominantly use the app: if you login to the site you can add any measurement graph you like. I now have a daily graph of body fat % which is nice. Doesn't tell me what I want to hear yet like

  • This is me exactly.
I dont fill my clothes out anymore. I actually feel super skinny. But then I see a photo of myself from an event and realise I'm a long way from slender cyclist build.....

  • I also appear to be holding my garmin in every finishline shot I have.......

  • I need a better time scale on that.
Also, if you mean the time scale 9/2/16 to 24/2/16, it looks like you've gone from 78 to 76.5. That's 1.5 Kg. In 13 days?

  • its more the bulge around my waist that bothers me!

also that picture is the fault of poor even photography, its the reason why pros are in the finishing chute or take the picture before the person crosses the finish line, every triathlete ever stops their watch as they cross the finish line.

  • 79,2 - 8/2/7016
    76,8kg - 25/2/2016

    2,4Kg in 17 days.

I burnt over 20,000 Cals on the bike last week. I suspect I'm in some sort of delayed deposit. Must admitt I dont really understand it.

I weigh myself post piss, pre poo, in the morning. So it shouldd be pretty accurate.

(ED: 77,8kg - 9/2/2016. Pretty sure I was full of salt from a weekend binge. Probably retaining a few liters of water. Surprised I could get my shoes on.)

  • I cant really complain about a bulge (not a euph!)

Its the massive difference between how I Picture myself, and reality that freaks me out a tad. I Climb a lot out of the saddle. I Picture myself as Mike Cotty flowing up the mountain. Then a mate takes a pic, and I look like a lump trying to stamp the mountain flat.

  • Speak to my missus about that.

  • Also my issue, rode about 200 miles last week, been eating like a horse this week because I can (I can't).

  • I'm sure I've read stuff about weight loss actually being harder to maintain when you're doing a large amount of training, as you're constantly putting yourself in a calorie deficit. The body responds by making you hungry all the time.

  • Its the massive difference between how I Picture myself, and reality that freaks me out a tad.

Ha! Indeed, despite losing 6kg or so and watching the parkrun times come down I'm always brought down to earth by the photos when they get posted. Oh well, more motivation for when I think I can't be arsed to go out for a run/swim/cycle.

  • Working from home today (dentist) so have moved my Friday pub date to this evening so I have an excuse to get out on the bike. That's ok, right?

  • That's the best excuse I've seen yet for me being fat.
