sorry probably misrepresented it. It's not just a CTC style cycling chat place, it is very much social, but it is positive. If people (noobs) spout shite it is just ignored or politely educated, it isn't flamed.

Nah, you're spot on.

I've been extremely hesitant to ban regulars, those who have done great things for the community and stuff... but frankly it's true that a small minority are setting the tone, and that the line of what the community thinks is cool has caught them out like an off-side trap. The few who are now beyond the line should adjust quick-smart.

Actually Joe continued to not realise when joke != funny and decided to use the report system as a toy, that action I interpreted as whining which I very specifically warned him not to do.

DJ has had so many warnings it's just not funny, and then received a very unambiguous one only posts before making a very calculated dig.

Basically they got themselves banned in quick succession because of unrelated incidents.

Why not follow the example set by Goodluck Jonathan and ban them for 2 years so they can think about their actions?
