Still asking, did anyone see any marketing for the Cycling Superhighway rides?
The whats?
I live right on one of these smalten segues and have seen no hype, paper or otherwise. Considering the amount of shit that gets posted through my door each day, that's quite something.

There were some sad looking people outside Tooting Bec station this morning, handing out leaflets to tubengers.

Also...from tfl website, in that lovely tiny font of theirs:
Taking part
All guided cycle rides will take place subject to adequate demand. To join in, please email us at smartertravel@tfl.gov.uk with details of your preferred ride route, date and time. Two days before the rides takes place, you will receive an email to confirm your place. If there is not enough demand for the ride, you will receive an email letting you know that the ride has been cancelled and where possible, details of alternative ride dates and times.
and from email from Lu Everett at LCC (communicating on behalf of TFL I guess):
There will be a huge press and marketing campaign for these rides, called **‘Ride with a Guide’ **which will start on 19th July.
which I haven't seen/heard too much about. -

Apparently something went into the Metro the Friday before the guided rides started (I didn't read it, Lu at LCC mentioned it). I got talking to a guy on a ride I was marshalling. I think he just stumbled across it on the TfL website randomly whilst looking for routes into the city. Not surprising that only 5 peeps turned up over a week after the routes officially opened...

Nope. And also received the leaflet yesterday (East London).

That's not very optimistic. More about cancelling than about the actual guided ride.

I've just asked my mother, local neighbours and my dad's work buddies who also commute to Waterloo from Wimbledon - not a single information at all apart from the little leaflet.

^which is about the routes not the rides, yes?

I was talking to a colleague at CTUL today about this Digger; she was aware of them having been mentioned on the TFL website and having been plugged in the Metro. But then I guess she's hardly a typical commuter who might easily overlook something cycling related.
Personally I have seen diddly squat but then again I don't read the Metro. -

By the way, why someone who lives in E11 would like to know about a cycling route from Merton?

Not seen anything about these ones. Saw plenty about the guided rides that were happening a while back (before the Barclays superhighways).

Did anyone see any promotion for the rides? Bump.
Yes. I got an email for the cycle chalenge rides that I was leading. Unfortunatly, it was only to those signed up to the cycle chalenge and therefor mainly to people who cycle anyway. It was also increadably hard to find it on there.
It is a shame that more people didnt turn up. I find it quite increadible that in a city of 10milion people that over four rides we only had 5 people (one of those was Lucy and the other the TFL press officer, who seemed a bit serprised that less people were atending).

Found it!
It was hidden on the platform of Wimbledon Station, it's the only one I've seen insofar (there's a couple more on nearby platform)
Shown riding on the wrong side of the road into incoming traffic;
I like to think I'm usually aware of these things, but I even subscribe to the tfl cycling updates, and didn't get anything. They seem to be on a rolling cancellation due to their inability to market them, which then seems to translate into a 'poor demand' excuse? At least that is what it looks like to me. I got this on 20 July:
All July rides cancellara...
