Ash, do you have any trees in your street? If someone loses a cat, do you get all offended that they put up a picture and a note to say the cat has been lost? Or is it OK as long as they promise to water the tree for the next 6 months.
Anyway, self-appointed moral spokesperson for the forum, do carry on...

I normally go with the majority view, but sometimes I do see things rather differently, and this is one of those occasions.

cats are not bikes. that's right.

Cats are best used for keeping young fox cubs well fed.
I'm with David Bellamy on that score.

I prefer David Attenburgh.

Ashe, I think somethings are above certain divisions- having your bike stolen I think is one of them.
I have a road bike with 20 gears, one with 16, a mountain bike with 27, and a track bike with 1, and one cat btw.

Give me your cat. The foxes in my neighbourhood won't let me sleep. They're very hungry.

We need to storm the gated community and drag the OP to the nursery.

Didn't understand your swathy* tones? Therefore was dead to you?
*You used that on me once. I'm returning the gift.

You make the forum sound like some sort of gated community.

might want to move this to private or take your number out.
and don't bite when someone says "you should have used x amount of locks, of this type and a tank to guard it. as well as watching it for 24 hours a day"
Hi Damo, I went and bought a pay as you go sim card for this purpose :)
thanks for the heads up!

I'm surprised you don't get my point Neil.
We are being used.
We are all cyclists, that care about other cyclists. We don't show predjudice for a rider down, being on a fg bike, or a 30spd bike. We care about cyclists.
Shit man, you're right.
I'm going down to the police station and get the stolen bike I've taken and give it back to the theft.
Someone's property got stolen, they're doing the right thing by advertising it on here on this forum, even if they're 'using' us, they have every right to post their stolen bike in the stolen topic, and hopefully by chance they might decided to have a butcher at this forum a little more and see what's the fuss is about.
Even though the person whose bike I've found and took hasn't been in contact for 2 days (quite odd), I still don't regret my action.

I'm interested in how SomeoneStoleMyBaby became acquainted with this forum.
Does she/he have friends on here? Likes singlespeed/fixed-gear cycling?
I'm thinking the name of the forumenger and the theft of the bike, might be by chance, connected?
that's a horrid thing to say :(
when i discovered my bike was stolen i hit every single cycle blog in london i could find asking them to post about my bike - someone pointed me here and told me to send them the link so he could tweet for me!!
secondly my insurance doesn't cover my bike so this is a genuine effort to recover my baby
and?
