Been offered this, only have these photos at the moment. Ive requested larger more specific photos of lugs etc.
But what do you guys think of these initial photos? or is it too hard to tell?
Looks suspect to me, and I dont know much about colnagos. He said its got shimano 105 on it too, shouldnt it have campag?
your thoughts please... once i get more photos, il post them up too.
Cheers!

Hard to tell, wouldn't worried about the Shimano, Campagnolo is more common but could be either. Looks reasonable but you'll need detail shots to really tell, maybe serial number would be a help too.

• #930
Yeah Ive asked for serial number too... we will see. I like it though.

If it has spades on the forks, lugs and a cut out bottom bracket. Tell him no thanks, and tell him i'll take it. Wouldn't want you to get ripped off with that...

Why?

• #936
Why?
that the "italian parts on italian frames" doctrine has become gospel.
-
• #937
Yeah, thats what i thought too.
but check this one out I found on google, looks like its got shimano cranks? and similar frame apart from the top cable connections. one above hides the cables in the tube but this one runs along the top.

• #938
Yes it should have Campag on, as it's far better than ShimaNO.
-
• #939
Well if I buy it then yeah defo change it to campag.

You really need detailed pictures.
Look at those beautiful lugs with club cutouts.

I had bottom end steel Colnago. Had the cut-outs etc but no serial. Not uncommon so I was told.
Best frame I ever had, still regret selling it.

im just saying someone could have bought a colnago frame then stuck shimano stuff on it, for example the shifters are clearly too new. but that was also what is making me think its abit suspect, so just gota wait till i get more detailed pics...
that's why i said CROC -> Croce d'Aune or Chorus.. but they are indeed missing the oil clips, that crec or croc had.. sharp eyes dude
