Dunno how Google helps when you don’t know what model of lever is it - I know how to buy things online - but apart from that thanks for the help. Will see if it looks like 6600 as I couldn’t see it anywhere on the lever itself. 👍

Check for the model number on the shifter body, 6500 is 9 speed almost impossible to source, 6600 is 10, which is still available:

Sadly I'm selling this Eddy Merckx track bike and need to get an idea of it's value - does anyone want to have a stab at what year it's from? Original forks and frame both have 7633 and the letter P is also stamped on the BB but from what I can see these don't match any of the identification stuff I've found https://vivani.net/2022/06/13/decoding-eddy-merckx-frames/ :(
Any insights are appreciated 🙏

Anyone recognise this lugwork?
It's not mine, I'm just asking for a friend, like.
I can make a guess, but I'm interested to see whether anyone else makes the same guess.
I believe the original owner lived in Kent.

@clubman the ‘tongues’ on the lugs are the giveaway. I’ve seen them before and it’s only one builder who did this, but I can’t for the life of me remember who it was. I’m sure I’ve not seen one that early with a head clip though. Pretty sure the others I’ve seen have been well in the 50s with conventional headsets.
Edit: very early Gillott? I want to say those are pre-Nervex lugs.

I started a thread yesterday before realizing I could actually share my pictures here. I recently purchased this Ciocc Slide PRC Carbon from a friend an was hoping you could be me get more information about this frame. Looks like a generic Dedacciai frame rebadged for the brand.
It also came with carbon flanged wheels which my friend believe are Mavic SSC Carbone wheels (he added the stickers from another model). Attached are some photos of the wheels that wear the same stickers as the original ones.
If you could help me identify this frame and wheelset, that would be awesome! Greetings :)

Sorry for slow response - I've been in France which means I'm off grid.
My guess is that it's a Holdsworth. It's not those 'tongues' I'm going on, but the shape of the cut outs on the down/top tubes - I'm only guessing though.
The frame is 24.5". I doubt that my friend will ever ride it again (age and ill health), so if anyone wants it, let me know.

Hi, I'm new to thr forum. I was kindly told about this website by the guys at Hackney Peddlar.
I need help as I have an old (possibly rare) vintage bike I would like help in identifying it and/or where I could sell it.
I have no use for it but it is a beautiful looking old bike that needs to be used/serviced etc.
Has all original parts and working dynamo and lights. A bit of natural wear and tear. It's working needs new inner tubes!
I'd love some help, feedback, signposting to anyone who would be interested in this and able to identify.
I think it is an EVE bike c.6os/70s It's a steel frame.
Please help if you can!!! Thanks!!

Hi, looks like a repainted 60s Peugeot or similar French brand to me. Charming bike but of little value, unfortunately. 50 - 100 quid if you found someone who loved it.

Thank you.
Thats helpful, the fact it still works amazes me!
Hopefully I can find a home for it. It needs to get back out there, on the road!

Yokota has sold those, just to me, Yokota was als just a label and the fork seems to be build by Enfeel.
Other brands selling it had been Schauff and also Iko/Corratec.
Just as the Gally Wheel also on your picture is also from them...
Is your Google broken?
Looks like ultegra 6600 to me but its printed somewhere in the plastic so you can check.
Hoods are widely available, on Sjs for example.
