  • Cool, thanks Aroogah, that's just what I was looking for but clearly in the wrong place. If I here back from Gazelle I'll copy and paste into this thread. Cheers.

  • My friend Jeff was hit by a car and the driver coughed up for a repair and respray of his Gazelle frame. Here's the end result:

  • Very nice! ^

  • My track Gazelle has Piet de Wit in fancy graphics on the top tube which may mean that the colours were customised by his shop, anyway it looks like this. Also Jos is Dutch and knows a lot about Gazelles, you could PM him.

  • This is my frame and pretty sure that this is 100% original. This is a road frame rather than a track frame but should give you a feel for the era.

That's very nice indeed chap. Have seen a few Gazelle frames but Mondial road at Jos's pad and are original as per Aroogah's.

  • Mine is the Modial road bike from Jos's place.

  • Sent the email to Gazelle about a week ago and have heard nothing back so have written (snail mail - slower but less easy to ignore) to Customer Services in the Netherlands, including this picture:

Requesting info about the frame and a head-tube badge. Will let you know how I get on with a reply should they get back to me...

  • hi guys, trying to find the maker of my bike. supposedly a '60's,531 english track frame
it has a high b/b, and the lugs should be recognisable, there is a B and M on the front downtube lug, most have 73 on them, which i presume is the angle.
the frame has been shot blasted and just a clear coat added. you can see the brass/copper in the brazings.
also the numbers 206 stamped on the b/b. and a double crown fork.

    thanks.x

  • bondage and man-bike!

  • beatle man

  • that B and M look quite distinctive - someone's got to know. sorry though 31trum, i have no clue

  • i knew there was gonna be some funny comments ya twonkers

  • i think its missing the

    H...B....M....F?

  • I think it is a 1972 'Batty Man' ?

    Highfive

  • LOl

  • On a more serious note - perhaps you should go and email all of the frame repairers/builders and see if they can help. Chances are that if it is a 60's/70's frame then someone out there might have run across one before.

  • badman.

  • Mercian, Bob Jackson, Burls, Nihmbus Cycles, Roberts, Kiwi, etc...

  • or..........

  • a serious note??? on here??? as f*cking if!!!
was thinking that aroogah, just wanted to ask a few of the more senior/saner/intelligent members of the forum first.

  • i think the headset might be a chris king, going on the pictures.

    hope this helps!

  • why thankyou pj, couldn't see the "chris" anywhere, so wasn't sure :)
