  • Thanks stedlocks!

  • Hi guys, I´d like to know how old is this Terry Dolan frame...
theres clear sticker that says "British Cicling Talent Team" and well, basically is alluminium frame with 1" steel forks and looks handwelded...

  • fredjacktucker,

I'm 99.99% sure your frame is one of the mid 70s Vitus frames.
There is the Super Vitus Grun which was made of the Vitus 971 tubing and is almost identical match of your frame. Back then that tubing was compared to the Reynolds 531. Could be the case with your frame too.

The lugs of your frame are Bocama Super Professional. Along with the absence of mudguard eyelets on the dropouts of your frame, and the double derailleur cable holders makes me tend to believe it is serious racing frame.

You have got a very nice frame there.

After all I'm no expert. Hope what I gave you is correct and would help you identify the exact make/model of your frame.

Have a look at the following pages if you would like:

    http://www.yellowjersey.org/vitus.html

    http://www.classicrendezvous.com/France/parts/Bocama/bocama_3.htm

Pretty much spot on. rear brake cable guides and rack eyelets tell us so much.

It was a very nice mid 70's vitus frame. The dropouts if you take the rear wheel out may say super vitus.

The seatpost looks like a simplex slj the original. Many parts have been updated, the cranks campagnolo super record, brakes, seat all added on in 1980 ish the rear derailleur a little later 80's.

I have a very very similar frame, take a look

  • Hello

I have a question about this LOOK frame. I might buy it but I'd like to know a bit more about it (materials, etc) and the year it's from more or less. I'm pretty sure I've seen it here somewhere but can't find it.

    Thanks!

  • ^ Looks a bit like a KG56, KG76, KG86, or KG96 - Late 80's/Early 90's
In which case it's Carbon Fibre
One of the first Crabon frames IIRC

  • Can anyone recognize what brand this is by the bottom bracket shell?

I am sort of obsessing about finding out maker -- bike is brazed bar the BB shell, and quite cleanly. I cant find any other markings to suggest brand but would love to know.

    Thanks

  • Hi, can anyone tell me what model and year this F. Moser can be? Parts are:

    3TTT Superlegero Olympic track handlebar
    3TTT Campagnolo Special stem
    Gipiemme Strada 170 crankset
    Sugino Sakae chainwheels 52/42
    Zeus 2001 Brakes
    Zeus 2001 Levers
    Gian Robert shifters
    Gian Robert seatpost gold
    Campagnolo Victory rear derailleur
    Campagnolo Victory pedals
    Shimano FD-AX50 front derailleur

  • What wheels are those? ^^^

  • Wheels are Koliken Alloy

  • frame that i picked up recently. 531 campagnolo dropouts .

  • Looks like a British Custom frame - probably 70's
Is there a frame number on the BB shell, dropout or seattube?

  • absolutely nothing probably been powdercoated over. because you can just see the campagnolo.

  • can faintly see a large 02 on bb hell

  • Yes, looks like powdercoating, I assume there are no forks; if there are you might find a serial# on the steerer.
A serial number of 02 suggests an alarming lack of ambition on the part of the frame builder!
Without a serial# I think you'll struggle to identify the builder as there don't appear to be any strong distinguishing features.

  • what are these bars called?
    i need them

  • Handlebars

  • ^^ An affront to good taste and common decency?

  • Hi everyone, I was wondering whether anyone would have any information regarding a bike with Robeiro decals? I can't seem to find anything on the internet about it, and the only other detail I have about it, is the fact that it has Reynolds 531 tubing. Is this likely to be some new decals, or just a small and relatively unknown frame builder...? Thanks for your help! Here is a photo (please let me know if it doesn't work). http://tinypic.com/r/ejv4va/6

  • Sooo what are these good looking handlebars called?

  • ^ You made me chuckle, thankyou

  • could any one give me an idea on how much i could sell the red frame for?

  • no more than about £50 without forks I would say

  • i have to say.. that w/m as a panthograph looks familiar. i am sure i saw it as a fork pantho, and my memory says as a w.. i cant find a similar image, so youre gonna have to look yourself. what is the background to it, country purchased, serial, any other features worth mentioning?

  • ^ Same here, I've been wracking my brains on that, only I was seeing it as an M - wondered if it could be Motobecane, Masi or Massi...
