  • These are from the late 90's; probably 1998. They didn't come in black back then. They were available in clincher or tubular. I had a pair of Electrons from the same time, very similar, with slightly lighter rim and tubular only. Nice wheels.

  • Anyone know anything about this Pearson? Couldn't find out any information about it. Thanks

  • ^ I'm pretty sure that Pearson frame is from 1991 or 1992. You should get in touch with Graeme in NZ he's a real helpful fellow

  • Ahh, thanks for that. I was lead to a different Pearson bicycle manufacturer.

  • Hi.
How much do you think those bikes can be worth?
    Are they any good?
please help, Im new in this and need to start somehow. CHEEEERS!
    I've seen this on allegro.pl
The Bianchi is rating about 260₤ there, but anyone buy it.

  • My new Bianchi on sh105 groupset and Campagnolo wheels. What do you think about this bike? I will sell the frame probably, can you tell some informations about it?

  • dated 1938. prefix U

  • But you already started a thread about it? why not carry that on, with full resto and plans and such. moar interesting as a project.

  • i was looking to find out more complete details on it,but with abit of google and info on here it was sorted, this was posted at the same time as the rare thread on projects.

  • I've lost photos

    I reckon its a Bianchi Brava from '87,or '88

  • I see, thank you

  • Have tried this already in this thread but you never know...
i'm looking for the builder of this track frame (Reynolds 531 with Campy dropouts):

    which i stripped:

    and painted:

More photo's here and info here

Want to put some decals on the bike now, that's why i'm trying again..

  • I have got this old bike, which i am going to restore, but I thought I would see if anyone could identify it before I start to strip it down.

The frame is pretty nice with nice lugs and some pretty nice components (Shimano 600 mainly).

I am thinking this bike is from the 80s, am I right?

    Thanks Chris

  • ^ Difficult to tell from the photo, but I think it's older than 80's:

    • Band on cable stops & shifters
    • Fork braze-on for a headlamp
    • 27" wheels
According to velobase, the rims were in production from mid 60's to 80's which is not a great help...
The shimano 600 is from the mid 80's, so it's probably not original - sorry I can't be more specific, I don't recognise the lugs.
Oh and sort out that tyre valve before you ride it - it's coming out at a rather jaunty angle!!
  • the frame looks to be from the 70s, and at first glance is a bog-standard heavy guage steel one.

the 600 groupset is likely not to be original, but is nice anyway..

  • ditto, the groupset is nicer than the frame, the frame is a pretty generic low end 70s possibly gitane with bcm lugs...

  • Hey guys,

I am wondering if you could identify this frame for me. I was going to consider buying it. I saw someone said that there were lots of different models all of different qualities, and that there were threads about identifying these bikes.
I have yet to have found them.

Also I was wondering, is this frame worth £45?

    Team Banana Falcon frame

    Thanks

  • Got a few things I'm not sure on at the mo...

Campag front hub, its a shield logo so guess its mid-80s onwards, but no idea other than that! rear of the pair is a miche O_o

Sugino triple crankset. 26/36/46 rings and 'E7' stamped on them, so I guess they are 'E-7's"? But I can't find anything about them, guess there is a proper name for them.

Stronglight double road cranks, marked with 'G8', seem really nicely made, stiffer if not better than my current 600EX cranks.

  • I should probs take this to the bmx museum forum, but before that does anyone know what frame this is, it was part of a cheap job lot I bought at a bootfair.
It is really quite light, compared to a few oldskool gts I have, I might just build it up regardless...

  • ^ The previous owner lived at No. 7, CT5 4PN - you could write and ask!

  • ha yeah, I did buy it in canterbury! the man I bought some frames off said they were his sons and himself knew nothing about them. I think his son seemed to move out a good few years back..
