  • yes! or wiggo can wave good bye to all his gold medals.

I realise how much of a stupid question it was now.
I think I was just being braindead and thinking of time trialling on the road.

  • bars hovering through the stem?

  • excentric stem

  • I think it's just misunderstood

  • I thought the Cannondale Slice track special edition was gangsta but fuck a doodle do

  • Got link/pic?

  • I've just sold my track bike...

  • New BMC?

  • This one?...

New BMC GF01 Gran Fondo. Pitched as they're new 'spring classics' bike - longer wheelbase with kicked out fork legs/longer rake, skinny 27.2mm seatpost and reworked seatstays for a bit more cushion.

  • ^ looks HORRID (am a bmc fan).

  • what's with the chain stays stepping up to the dropout? longer seat stays = more spring perhaps?

  • The production graphics are a little more forgiving to the tubing shapes and dimensions. Not had the low down on the chainstays yet - will keep you posted.

  • This one?...

That was the one, my link must have got ills.

One of the reasons I like BMCs is the close to horizontal top tube and the clever top tube/steatstay arrangement, so I don't like the greater slope in this one. With the massively oversized front end and skinny seat stays it reminds me of Johnny Bravo

  • It probably looks nicer with a smaller sized frames. I am guessing this is Schar's bike who is 6"7

  • I bought a one of these yesterday

    http://http://www.bmc-racing.com/int-en/bikes/2012/road/model/streetracer/sr01/sr01_tiagra.html

Initial impressions very good. It's set up more for comfort than racing - larger head tube, shorter top tube, compact chainset and 12-28 cassette, which suits me just fine at the moment. Saddle is rubbish though, an Arione will soon be replacing it

  • ^ all the stock gear on BMCs are crap. My old SLX01 (RRP 2.5k) came with SCOR branded bullshit OEM stem, bars and saddle. Poor

  • The saddle is my only complaint - Selle Royal Seta. Stem/Seatpost/Bars are all Easton EA30 which I've not got any complaints with.
The only SCOR branded thing on it is the Brakes, which I guess are just re-branded Tetkros.

  • There is one of these in the window of Canary Wharf Evans (below my work) taunting me.

it is very nice, but it's ridiculously overpriced at £8.8k. You can get the standard Team Machine SLR01 with di2 for £5k, so at least a few grand seems to be for the paint job...

  • Exactly, and it being a limited edition of 141 bicycles.

Not worth it however great the paintjob is.

  • New research shows yellow bikes are faster. Something I can attest to.

Also. If you watch the final important stages of the TdF. Theres nearly always a yellow bike at the front. Which proves this.

    Trufax.

  • They Impec is amazing looking. That^ paint job isnt adding anthing IMO.
