Really? If I do need to ride through puddles, my feet are on the mainframe.
I'll record my commute on a rainy day if I could be bothered but obviously I'm not up to speed enough...

I got a Barbour Brompton Tarras bag about 6 months ago and the other day one of the buckles fell off while I was out and got lost, so I emailed Barbour for a replacement and they don't have any!
Anyone know where I could get a replacement buckle besides the actual manufacturer?

Did you try brompton? They’ll probably have one or send you a new bag.
Awful bag imo but yeah.

What don't you like about it?
I'll try Brompton yeah.

Go back to where ever sold you the bag

The closures, poppers are inadequate - very weak, not a positive engagement... And they appear to fall off ?

Bought some and they are now fitted on the Turkish Delight. Only one ride in and they feel the same as the regular marathons, grippy and solid.
They are more yellow than Gum, although i think the turkish green makes it look particularly yellower. So much so that my brown Brooks B17 with copper rivets looks odd. So I'm now waiting for the Brooks C17s in black with gum to arrive, which I think will balance everything out again.

Break it to me gently
Yes they are major flaws, but I still like the bag. I might have to fashion a more secure fastener myself.

Never really a fan of the black edition, point being the braking surface will ruin it.
Disc though... ;)

Can build with all black rims if it pleases you?
-
• #8315
Not really a preference, rather it's just practical. All my rim brake bikes have silver rims. All disc have black. Back on the Brompton chat, it'll likely that it'll be all black, given the disc hubs.

Minimods wider rims are the one

Looks really good! Can not wait to pick this up. Part of me thinks it would look better with a black stem though...

@r.hobbbs, remember that pic I posted of the brommie that got caught in an escalator? It turns out to a lot more damaged than first thought - the rear hinge pivot on the main frame is actually twisted too so it’s going to need a new main frame too, plus a crank, rack, EZ wheels and some other bits. It was an M6, 2014, so with all that it’s probably not worth repairing for the customer, seeing as the bill will be close on £800. What would say it’s worth as it is, if I could do it up with used parts?

Like so?
That combination of coloured frame and forks with black extensions is nicely done.

I’m a big fan!

Can't remember who was asking about bag frames with handles ?
I Just picked one up from Avon Valley Cycleryhttps://www.avonvalleycyclery.co.uk/458457/products/brompton-bag-frame-for-ctfolding-basket.aspx
agree, the stock flaps are good. I use them on our surlys and tandem too!
