Don’t know about brakes, be nice to replace just the rotor than a whole wheelbuild every years (base on the average Brompton I’ve serviced).

Those mudguards are disgraceful.

I think a Brompton with discs would be good, maybe 140mm rotors. Birdys have discs and they work great. As you said, rims wear out so fast and then wet weather braking where it’s hilly is a bit inadequate for me. Not such a problem in London.

Belt drive seems unnecessary and it looks baggy (likely to get caught/snagged and come away from chainring?)

Yeah! First new bike since the last one so pretty happy. Fortunate they had a 2 speed in stock as you can only order 6 speed versions from Brompton's stock. The wife asked me why I bought a brown bike and much preferred the other one......

Surprised that he didn't bite your hand off at that price.

BWC is a bit mental. 50th, 2 minutes down on the winner. Did 4 laps with the lead bunch and then a couple solo and a couple in the chasers.

Good effort! Did you set off with the first wave?

I did. 90th but I had a good start. Bit of a fuckup as there was still a barrier over the course on the first straight.
