Thanks for that. I had been considering the Exposures for another bike (seat post mounting on that one) and it’s a great light.
I already have a high seat post mounted light on the Brompton (I think the underseat position would get obscured some of the time) , but I wanted to add a permanently fixed light making use of the existing bracket. Never comfortable with only one light at the back.

Why do you need to change the stem?
Just get JK mid rise bars. -
• #12656
It’s a P type. The lowest of the stem
Options, chap wants a H type, mid rise bars would make it between M and S -

At a loose end this pm, popped into Brompton Junction in Covent Garden.
*They have P line in both colours ('colourways' @Mikey5000), but no P line for test rides.
*They have a T-line for testing, but crikey, in the flesh, it looks horrible, and the chap made a big deal about how they don't have any for sale.Pretty unsatisfactory experience in the round.
But I did glean that their stock is different from the website, so if you really do want something that isn't on the site, pop by to London's famous London's Covent Garden.

Being strongarmed into a work charity London - Paris ride with a load of newbie cyclists. For a laugh they thought it would be funny to sign me up, but only on the basis that I ride on a Brompton.
I don't have a Brompton, but have been considering buying one for a while now. Am slightly bewildered by the choice, but any recommendations for one that I won't absolutely hate after riding c.80 miles/day for 3 days?

Electric. I really like the normal Bromptons but the electric makes up for a lot of the compromises that they have to have in order to fold.
I'm sure it's not in the spirit of the challenge though. I suppose you should look at a 6 speed and decide whether you want to bend your back more or less.

Let’s build you a 20x2.0-2.2” tyred, disc brake, Rohloff Brompton… ?! That would be a dream to cruise to Paris on!

• #12669
The single speed Brompton I need to sell is the obvious choice

London - Paris on a ss Brompton, hardcore!

• #12671
This is actually really fun.
A couple of mates of mine signed me up for this and we did it in 24 hours in total.
The hardest part of the leg was the UK due to the hilly nature. But I did it on a 2 speed without any issues.
1 speed would definitely be a new level. But once you get over to France the rest if flat and simple to get into Paris.

But I did it on a 2 speed extra lite without any issues.
Ftfy.

Nice!
What mods/spec? Looks like Ti forks & rear triangle?
Thank you. I can live with the colour and old shifters etc, it's mainly the stem and seatpost. Will see how I get on with scouring for used parts.
