amen to that brother

Indeed. If a nodder feels they can go faster me, I'm only too keen to oblige and use their slipstream
This, unless they look too "twitchy". On a Brompton, you can draft them very close because of your tiny front wheel. When the time is right, put the hammer down.

Shit brakes on the Brompton though - sort of negates the advantage of the small wheel thing.

Are they? I thought they were plenty powerful.
-
• #259
I find them shit, yes. Even with stouter levers and Swiss Stops in the front. Small wheel physics or something, plus the weird cable runs. Slightly flexy too. They'll do, but I think they could do with designing a beefier caliper.

Saw the first herd of the year on Holland Park Rd this morning. Beautiful in their natural habitat they were.
There also seems to be a new cross-breed - they've shed the fluoro for British / Union kit. Perhaps it's a St George thing or it could be a wider trend given the breeding that inevitably occurred during the Olympics last year.

you sure that wasn't just some nationalist rally you saw?

Nationanalists don't cycle. They all drive white vans.

"Hot nodders" in at number 1: well chuffed!

However you choose to respond, starting a new thread is not the answer.
Why would anyone choose to respond to a new thread by starting a new thread?
-
• #265
There's hundreds of rubbish threads about riding technique, etiquette, etc.
Slightly rearranged.

They are now getting out of their white vans and spreading amongst the masses in disguise to try and fool people.
They can hide their swastikas and forever england tatooes but they just can't resist that St George cross emblazened clothing which will always trip them up. -

Pretty good bit of viral marketting IMO.

As the bulk of the great nod is slowly beginning to see the logic of stopping at lights I'm increasingly astonished by the holier than nod attitude of the now minority noddy red jumper. They are almost always slow, almost always have a chain which last saw lube in 1998 and are always blinkered, dangerous and arrogant. Bloke in a suit on a hybrid very nearly god road jammed on cable street and the remaining majority at the light took an audible and communal deep intake of breath. Some education on a broad scale is in order! Time for some tv cycle training infomercials I feel.

Not in the wild west they're not..
We're all on CCTV constantly anyway, plus the imaginary reality TV show that seems to play in a lot of people's deranged heads these days.
