Overwintering onions: help make the early Spring plot look less daunting to bring back to life!

The over wintered onions seem to be thriving due to your stone mulch.

Yes; just that one corner... I could build a fair drystone wall from what’s coming out as plot falls away about 7 or 8 feet in height to that point so washed out this winter: will riddle out when they’re lifted and get many barrows of muck on this autumn.

Slightly off top;
I came into work today (office) and found 2 small mushrooms growing out of my desk plant.
Any ideas what they are and whether they're dangerous?

After visiting the allotment for the first time in about 6 months it became very apparent we may need a new shed.

There is actually a shed near my plot that isn't far behind my in terms of its state. He still uses it everyday. No idea how.

Do they have gills or pores? If they're a bolete of some sort could be easy to identify. Cut in half down the middle and take a picture, see if they bruise a particular colour too.

Went and choose our plot and picked up a key for the site today.
We've probably choose the one with the most work, but we liked the position and it comes with a greenhouse and various useful bits like water butts and a compostor etc.
I'm off down tomorrow for a full days graft, and it's conveniently near to work so I'll be hitting it in the evenings during the week,
There's a lot of old crap that needs shifting, it belonged to an old boy who couldn't keep it going anymore, then someone else had it for a year and did nothing to it so I'm looking forward to turning it around as the rest of the site is imaculate.

Previous tenant was a bit of a hoarder it seems :/

Cleared so much crap today, a lady came to say hello and said 'Barry didn't do much except collect old bits of metal'.
Massive understatement, 3 old wheel barrows, a mower, about 100 bits of steel pipe, a car wheel, a post office cage (fuck knows how he even got that down there).
Brambles and bind weed everywhere, spent about 5 hours clearing rubbish and chasing massive roots around the plot. Made good headway, will be going down most evenings after work, fortunately a skip is on the way soon, and I'll be buying an incinerator tomorrow.

Post Office cage as a compost bin is genius.

Ha, it looks like a fun project, despite the amount of work involved.
Have you thought of getting a scrap metal merchant down to collect the metal (if there's enough to make it worthwhile for them)?
Would love a polytunnel :(
