I didn't see a car for 45 mins at on one point.
Awesome when this happens.

Took the old bmx out to Chorlton Ees
Was generally a good workout tho I did however continue to have a complete mental block over jumping this
Might help to wear some protection plus not go alone...

Stole a route off the forum (cheers forum) and went for a ride this morning. I've noticed when Dammit does rides like this he says something along the lines of 'little pootle to the shops and back with grandma' but for me it's still quite a long way. Beautiful day out there, sunny and warm this morning.

Strava, Y U NO EMBED?
It never does, Pascal did some work that made the Garmin Connect files do so, then he legged it to Oz and is now too busy throwing prawns on the barbie to make Strava files embed.

My favourite thing about today's ride was when I scared two pheasants and they panicked and flew straight into each other. I laughed quite a lot because I am cruel.
I also saw bluebells, and freshly laid lambs. I think it might actually be spring.

Did Brixton > Brighton in 3 hours today. Nice 20mph average and sunburnt arms

Nicely done! half an hour quicker and you'd match Dammit, damned it.

Oh, I forgot to mention, rear tyre started feeling soft, then going into a fast right hander the bike kind of fish-tailed.
So, pulled over, shot half a can of pitstop into the tyre, pumped it up a little bit more, and was on my way again.
Be interesting to see how this goes now- I've got over a thousand miles on my other pair of tubs that have both been Pitstopped post puncture, but they are both butyl whereas the Veloflex is a latex inner tube.

Had a wonderful ride out today from Preston to Leyton Moss RSPB. I would post the Garmin route but the darn thing seems to be a bit hit & miss when it decides to record the route (only started recording from Garstang on the way up to the wetlands, then from Garstang to Preston), it also turns itself off over any significant bump in the road. It is frustrating!
Anywho, did 75+ miles in wind, rain & shine, ate cake, drank tea & saw ducks.

I may have seen you lot on my way out. I only went to Biggin Hill and back, but it was fixed rather than on the road bike (as I couldnt be bothered fixing the slow puncture it has developed). I think that is the longest and certainly hilliest ride I've done without gears. Legs are feeling it today!

Weekend ride #2 with the Mrs:

Hilly on the way home. Yesterdays flat tyre was evident this morning, pumped it up to 120 PSI and it looks to have kept that pressure for the duration of the ride.
I'm interested to see what it has in it tomorrow.

Living in California for a year at the minute and finally took the new road bike out for a spin. http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2458086
Wiggly roads which are actually as sloped as they look, so much fun to ride on:

Two days two potholes that have done damage to something. Today it was my PT head unit.
Fuck you Hounslow council. Fuck you too London buses. You'd think with all the money you steal from Tube users you could throw some fatter tyres on your poxy buses so they didn't chew shit out of the road.

50 miles fixed around Norfolk this morning. Legs felt like lead to start with and I seemed to need to eat everything, all the time but the sun was out, sky was blue and caught a glimpse of a barn owl hunting along a verge. The view was pretty good as well:
Was in Rye for the evening so decided just to explore the area a bit. Apart from a very brief spell on a really busy A road it was pretty awesome. Some fantastic countryside with tiny lanes that snaked along canals. I didn't see a car for 45 mins at on one point. Also, flat as a pankcake :)
