Crisps

Turns out even expensed Italian crisps start to lose their appeal when they are a major part of your dinner, eaten standing in airport queue... and they didn't have the superior ginger flavour.

Can't say if they are defunct as I haven't been up there since 1980.
Friday night special: fish and chips, packet of Tudor, a Texan bar and a bottle of Lowcock's dandilion and burdock.

Damn I’m in Puglia at the moment too, didn’t know these were a thing. Will keep my eye out.

Oh the ginger flavour. I’m bringing back enough bags of those to fill a footwell of the car. The other footwell will be full of oil, wine, and pasticiotto.

My marra worked at Tudor in Peterlee. Brown sauce were my fave, followed by kipper flavour. I kid you not.

discovered these the other day very moreish and great with a cup of tea/beer

I don't know if they are common in Puglia - this was a panzarotti (similar to pasty) place in Polignano a Mare

Found a big bag of the ginger flavour at the cafe at airport gate, luckily! Burst on flight back, better eat them soonish, before exposure to a suitcase full of well worn bib shorts impairs the flavour

This is a good dissertation on crisps and whilst I tend to agree with most of the findings I strongly rebuke the notion that Kettle Chips are the best crisp. Everyone knows they are the Coldplay of the fired/baked potato snack world

I'm a Burts crisp man. Kettle lightly salted if I'm pushed. Seabrooks prawn cocktail for everyday vending machine fodder.

I love living in east London.

They’ve got a brand called Irving’s over here and their salted egg crisps are the tits. Massive queues for collection 7 days a week. Over here they put this salted egg stuff on most things, not a fan but the crisps are great!

These are nice in a dirty kind of way
