  • They remind me a bit of mini cheddars but each one is like the one McCoy ridged crisp in every packet with extreme seasoning

  • Just received a supply of these from Irish friend - possibly the best in classic cheese and onion I've had.

I look forward to visiting Tayto Park, Ireland's only crisp-based theme park. Also, Ireland's only theme park.

  • And now I'm intrigued to find there's a NI Tayto too, with a different Mr Tayto, and different hat. Not a bowler though.

  • They are actually what the troubles were about

  • If your supermarket has a world foods section, they might have a small Irish bit like my Morrisons where tayto are available. 80's bacon flavoured staple Rancheros were still on sale in Ireland last time I was there. I'm currently on Morrisons 'the best' steak, ale & caramelised onion ridged.

  • Tayto C&O are the world’s best crisp. I haven’t been able to eat them since veganism happened years ago, but they simply are and anyone who says otherwise is a douchebag.

  • I love Tayto crisps. They are brilliant up there with Seabrooks crinkle cut C&O or prawn cocktail. When climbing the walls unable to get these, the odd chippy batter taste of Pom-Bears gets me through…

  • I bite the nobbly bits off Monster munch, bit like decapitating freddo frog bars as a child I get kicks far too easily… worrying. Wisely I’ve avoided drugs.

  • Tayto Park’s a bit Wicker Man…

  • How so? I am intrigued

  • Tayto Park, 'where the magic of vegetables never ends'.

  • Just reminded me of this... not that I'm suggesting Tayto sacrifice would go beyond a baked spud with assorted fillings.

  • I bought some Tayto cheese and onion multipack from Tesco recently and they were rank, not how I remember them in NI at all

  • I once escorted a (young Traveller) prisoner to court who told me the best method of cooking a hedgehog in a bonfire. To this day I still haven't tried it.

  • Cover it with clay mud and bake in a fire to remove the spines?

Meh, I learnt that at Scouts. Got a badge for it too... ;)

  • Séamus is that you?

  • To be sure, to be sure...

  • Growing up in Teesside there was a brand of crisps called Tudor. Their pickled onion flavour were awesome. I would often follow up with a bottle of vinegar just to soothe my taste buds.

  • Pattatine del giorno... Straight out of the fryer, mid ride pavement cafe, Puglia, Italy. On expenses, no beer unfortunately

  • No beer is semi-acceptable. However, I'm not sure about your choice of back-up beverage...

  • You were supposed to say 'couldn't get Heinz Salad Cream in Italy?'

  • Tudor aren’t a thing anymore? Sad days. Gammon flavour were a childhood staple, Tudor Specials predated and outdid Brannigan’s as the go-to beer crisp.
