Any number of members will do this for you for less than a shop price.
Try Tommy: http://www.lfgss.com/member6.html

Ask Martin aka broken_777 on here. He's in borough. He will be very reasonable for a simple truing job, also very reasonable for builds, charges for spokes you may need at cost etc.

Please pm me .
Thanks -
• #38
Sorry but I've no idea about anyone in tht area, howeverrrr. It's pretty simple to do. Takes a little time but it's not too hard. Just takes patience and a bit of wit.

That video explains it really well, and highlights geting the wheel radially true (imo the hardest part) But yeah, allyou need to do is follow his instructions, and buy one of these.
There are a few different sizes so make sure you get the right one

Some of the poloistas will probably be at the Northgate (nr Downham), one of those guys will probably do it if you bring them beer/cider/drugs/prostitutes...

I UTFS so just gonna ask a similar question on here...
Could anyone true up my not-that-badly-untrued wheel for me? It's just wobbling a bit, but no one likes that. My over expensive LBS have assured me it can be fixed with a spoke key. I'm in Greenwich so if anyone is in South London.... let me know.
I could probably pay up to about £8 and I will come to you.
Cheers!

learn to do it yourself henry, it's very logical and straightforward. honestly.
Google wheel-truing and see what videos can show you.
it would take 5 mins to show you in real life.
Got some good recommendations after I wrote a post about how much should pay:
http://www.londoncyclist.co.uk/maintenance/how-much-should-you-pay-for-a-bike-repair-in-a-london-bike-shop/
One commenter suggested:
London Bicycle Repair, SE1 - wheel true and spoke for £10
Also: http://londonbicycleworkshop.com/ - Not London bridge area but nearer to Gray's Inn Road (if you work in central). New shop so they don't seem to be charging much.
