IOC still can't decide if he has 2 or 4 golds or even whether he's British or American.

Dan Roan is reporting that Dr Richard Freeman is going to miss tomorrow's Select Committee, due to illness.
https://twitter.com/danroanMP on the committee says it's news to him and includes the words "if true" in his comment..

For the hard of understanding the Jiffy bag was full of good stuff banned in comp but legal out of comp hence delivery on last day of Dauphine when "out of comp"

So no-one knew what was in the jiffy bag apart from Dr Freeman who then forgot to upload the records and then had his laptop stolen, how unfortunate!

Only the British could have a doping scandal that didn't involve any doping.

le facepalm
laptop theft was of course registered with Greek police? I wonder if we'll ever get the real story
-

What did Sapstead say, that's there no evidence of a cover up of doping but that's it strange Sky didn't keep the records to avoid inferences to the contrary. I thought at least the UKAD investigation would clear this up.

Do you think the package contained Fluimucil ?

• #6089
I have as much of a clue as everyone else.

What happens now, after the committee? Nothing I guess.

The Daily Mail will continue to throw dirt and hope more of it sticks?

Yeah. Not really great is it. I think a lot of sponsors will be re considering cycling.
I'm a bit tired of mud slinging at cycling, when all these other sports the journalists are still proper blind fanboys.
It's also pretty crap of the national body BC to have brought so much public disrepute onto the sport. Whether wrong was done or not, they've handled the situation terribly.

Failing to keep proper medical records isn't just an oversight, it's incompetence at best and shady at worst. It's led to the sort of dodgy excuses that Sky said they would never need to make. They aren't being victimised, they are being held to their own standards and coming up short. I am not sure why Brailsford is still in a job.

GMC might have an opinon too

I work in their building. I'll have a word.

Dave Brailsford's income from motivational corporate talks will presumably fall

Including the person that carried the package

I agree, I actually think Brailsford should resign over this.

I find it amazing they can't find an email saying "Hi Simon we need you to take some flumicil over to France for Brad" or something like that. They have provided zero evidence for why Mr Cope had to fly over to France for a day to deliver a package. Surely, there would be something that helped explain the situation. The fact there is only verbal evidence and a lost non backed up laptop full of medical records makes me more suspicious that there is plenty of actual stuff BC/SKY are not providing/have deleted.

If anyone still has belief that Sky/Wiggins are clean, I have some magic beans to sell you.
Not another feckin' thread. I like that most race discussion is in the Pro thread.
