There's been doubt around him for ages, yet no proof, so it does almost seem silly he'd get done for something that could be denied so easily.

I suspect you are right, Alex. But, I know that clenbuterol contamination is highly likely in China (and Mexico) and I'm not signed up to anything requiring strict liability for what I ingest, unlike Mr Rogers.
Who was it who said anyone failing a drugs test has also failed an intelligence test? Dick Pound?

Dick Pound
I just wanted to write Dick Pound.
But it seems it was, in fact, Dick Pound
"Only 10% of drugs cheats are being caught at the Olympics. former anti-doping chief Dick Pound said. ... "If you get caught you fail two tests, a drugs test and an IQ test." Dick Pound, also a former vice president of the International Olympic Committee"

Doubt? An admitted client of Ferrari, named as one of those who was involved in the infamous Freiburg episode in the 2006 Tour, someone who was named in the USADA Reasoned Decision on Armstrong and he unexpectedly left Sky when they did their zero tolerance pledge,
I don't think there is much doubt to be honest.

Yet there is also no proof.. until now.
If he was so dirty, why hasn't someone grassed him up?

They have. Repeatedly. But somehow the authorities who hold his license (Swiss I think) can't be arsed to bring a case.
He's got a teflon coating, that's for sure.

If Armstrong can be taken down I don't see what's so special about Mick.

Weighing the probabilities, I am inclined to think this was a case of contaminated food.
Could be, but given the warnings about food in China he's stupid if that is the case. And the likelihood of him doping in the past is very high, so getting caught like this is karmic at least

Who's twitter feed said 'Karma'?

They still haven't rogered him and he's still taking the mick.

One of the other cases? Also rode in China.
Belgian rider tried to commit suicide after positive for clenbuterol.

WTF Pro football???
From the official Ajax fan magazine here: http://ajaxfanzone.hetclubmagazine.nl/nl/magazine/6075/732594/coverstory_davy_klaassen_pag3.html
"From February on, Klaassen flies down every Friday for treatment for almost two months.
After a scan from head to toe, the Catalan doctors made a good diagnosis. "The scan showed that my body was not well balanced. Under load, this was reflected in my weakness, my groin." in Barcelona, Klaassen gets administered an injection twice. It turns out the final turning point in his recovery. "They took blood from my arm and put it in a centrifuge. They then injected the best plasma in my groin, at the place where I had pain. After the first injection, I noticed right away it worked, the pain slowly faded away. the results of the tests became better and better." -

Blood spinning is legal in football, and somehow different to transfusing blood
Weighing the probabilities, I am inclined to think this was a case of contaminated food.
