this is a bit pish too:

Calling him out on Garmin was excellent; he certainly picks his 'fights'.
And it was David Walsh and Ballester who did the digging and got the quotes and published whilst Kimmage played the shouty cunt from the sidelines.

Top trolling from Mickey Ferrari.
-
• #2431
Why trolling?
He actually explains in quite clear terms how Froome is mechanically/physically able to generate that speed when climbing-i thought it was quite informative and if you can look past the fact that he's used his dark arts to engineer Lance into a tour winner, he's obviously a highly knowledgeable sports doctor, if one with highly dubious morals and a penchant for the high life.

An interesting point from that is the suggestion that when Froome does his trademark 'looking at his powermeter' thing, it's not to check his numbers which he can easily do without dropping his head fully down, but some sort of special breathing exercise. Realised on a ride the other day that I do a similar thing when climbing, definitely feels easier to breathe like that.

Or simply stravaing that bitch up.

Just like Froome, Farah, as well as for the outstanding performances, impresses for the ghastly, unhealthy thinness. Achieved how...? Only with a particularly strict diet? This is the question those who care about the physical and mental health of the athletes should try to answer to
Ferrari makes the point repeatedly. His implication is they are doing something dodgy and that this actually jeopardises the health of the athlete. Ferrari's rationalisation of doping is that it keeps the athlete healthy in an intrinsically unhealthy pursuit, so his comment is doubly amusing.
Agree regarding your points on Ferrari that he is a highly knowledgable sports doctor. I am interested in what he has to say.

tapeworms. and beetroot enemas... that's how. blaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgggg.
Srs-froome is skinny, but not so skinny you look at him next to his fellow colleagues and would shout 'oi, everyone, look at that fucking skinny cunt over there! hahahahaha.' Know what I mean?
-
• #2436
Getting skinny is probably the easy bit, it's the staying healthy that's really hard.

• #2437
I'm working on the second one first. Once I've mastered that, I'll try for the first.
-
• #2438
I have the same build as Froome (as does my father and my late grandfather) and am not taking any magical drug.
-
• #2439
That's what all you dopers say.

After poking around Twitter and following all the various arguments amongst various journos and Twatter cycling 'illuminati', I'm amazed professional journalists think the site is a good place to air these sort of discussions.
Plus there is a an awful lot of Brit v Irish stuff being thrown up, which should be a massive red herring when discussing doping, but illustrates the petty tribalism in cycling.
Plus the lunatic fringe seems to have gravitated to Kimmage. Reckon he has a lot of whispers in his ears. He's already fallen victim to UCI_Overlord.

You don't finish 7th overall (once) in the Vets classification in the London Cross League on pan i agua you know.

Of course Strava is going to encourage a whole generation of MAMILS to start doping. Main reason I stay off Strava.

• #2443
Erik Zabel admits that his previous confession was bullshit and he in fact spent most of his career doping. He, like many of his contemporaries, continues to work for a pro team despite this.

^ thats how you get 6 green jerseys in a row
They should have shown both him and Aldag doing lines in 'Hollentour'

The Eurosport guys seemed to think it was more aero to have his head down. Seemed weird that he did it in such short bursts though if that was true though.

• #2447
That works for time trialling but his climbing is probably just some weird-ass habit he developed over time. He's crooked as fuck on the bike.

• #2448
I was thinking of the last time trial TBH.
The Radcliff head nod, cant be the best use of energy while running a marathon. But shes not exactly slow.

Some things look wrong but if you try to 'fix' them it does more harm than good.

is that what the cosmetic surgeon told you before you had the work done?
Yes, any sport can create its own rules. It's just that the IOC has said that in order to go to their quadrennial sports day, you have to incorporate the WADA code as part of your rules.
