Paul / Io, does it not make more sense to give the LPC loaner to someone, if they can keep it and use it on Tuesdays, rather than having it sitting up north on Mare Street unused?

^ I care because I put a lot of time and effort into getting off that shithead Angus who had it and wouldnt give it back, and I also put a good few of my spare parts onto it to bring it back up to a playable standard, so I'd like to see it used, rather than lying idle in LMNH.

It was offered to individuals but because either they live quite far away and/or can't really commit to turning up on a regular basis or the bike is a bit too large for those who turns up regularly sans bike, it has now ended up at LMNH which is a perfect place to keep the bike and allow it to be taken to the court within a short distance.
If there is a player which would turn up regularly and the bike fits (i.e. Johannes on Chukkers old bike) it will eventually find its way to that said person.

It's not a short distance to Newington, and that's where the beginners sessions happen with far more regularity, not LF. Has it been used at all since it's been put in LMNH?
-
• #6131
Yep it has. Both players has since got their own bikes sorted.

Are we on for tonight then?
Edit: Looks like Suzie and I might not be able to make it, sorry…

Don't rely on me being there (not that my bike is too helpful for loaning out), doesn't look like we'll be able to make it

hey Kevin,
maybe a chat in the LPC thread, and then we do whatever everyone wants...(there's one somewhere were i let people know this was a proposal put forward - and that does not mean things cannot change if you want that :-) )
I personally have no strong opinion... the only reasons why we arranged LMNH were:
- accessible for London Fields sessions to anyone who turns up (loaner was inactive last winter as was in someone's basement who stopped coming to sessions (the one that Fuschia later bought); and the other loaner was kept hostage by Angus.
- stored relatively safe and indoors (before a loaner was chained on a tree)
- when not in use it acts as an advert for polo as it is in the cafe (but obviously it is not just an advert-it should be used!)
if there is an individual who wants to use it / if you want it to be used differently then yeah, i personally have no opinion - it is not mine to make decision, i was just helping out with the arrangement as i know one of the guys there. Maybe discuss it on the LPC thread

Hi guys, long time no see! Am gonna be out for the foreseeable future as I'm still on crutches/ aircast and waiting for my ankle to be put back together. It looks like there's loads of new people, I still have a frameset, wheels, bars etc going begging, just needs tyres, brake lever, cranks, bb, chain and cassette style SS kit. It's a bit tatty and front brake only but ok for starting out on if anybody's interested.

Heal up quick and come back, hope that the crutches didn't ruin your wedding pics man! Will take the spare bits but let's leave it till you are off the crutches and we'll sort something out.

Cheers Ben, wedding went great cheers, swapped the crutches for a fancy cane! I won't be able to ride again until next summer unfortunately which is a bit crap. If needs be I could get things to Euston at some point but I will just play it by ear. Work have just introduced the cycle to work scheme so I need the space! Missing playing sooooo much! I'll be back ASAP!

Doesn't David live around the corner from you? Possible to drop it off at his and I will arrange with him to bring it over?
