I began playing only weeks ago and had a blister on the thumb, holding the mallet. I see from your posts that some padding on the fingers and knuckles is good to have. I will try the Hockey one.

I will upgrade accessories along with the game :)

Get some tape and tape up the fingers when you buy them, the underside is not very strong and wears through with normal hockey use, polo is rougher.

Don't think beginners will happen tomorrow, pop by Tuesday at Newington Gardens instead.

Gone have a few polo bits up for grab in the next couple of days, some came of my pomp as the f&f are now sold, some are stuff I bought when I was still playing. Some cheap stuff, some good stuff etc. Beginners get a small discount. All need to go to fund a new cat coming home soon. Wach this space!

I have been thinking about putting a little fund into the beginners and get a few mallets & polo balls to bring to Beginners Sessions. But right now I only have one ball and one mallet.

We also need to get the first timers to join the forum if they plan to come again and again.

Its really encouraging to see so many new people coming to these sessions and cant wait to see the gang tonight :)

hey, i think Jess may have some mallets - there were lots from Magic at St Paul's for people who wanted to try out polo. Maybe worth asking...ha, maybe i should ask her? I have one loaner mallet that i always bring (but the head's split - i 'll try to replace it) have fun tonight :-)
