  • I'd vote Newt over Peckenham just because it's a bit easier for me to get too/from the frozen North.

And echo that about the sunshine > carpark. Well aware I'm a very beginning beginner so also appreciate if my views/wishes don't carry too much sway!

  • im fresh out the box new and not even in possession of a full suitable bike yet but newt would be great for me if there was a session there

  • Will be late out of office so beginners is my only chance for Tuesday polo.

  • After (finally) having a go at ladiez on sat, I'd like to come have another crack of the whip. I haven't been able to pick up polo beater from old gaff though so kind of need a loaner.... newt would be better when the suns out too!

  • cant wait for polo to day

Kattiep, come down to Peckham this week and I promise we can do beginners at Newt next week? Hopefully this drought holds out for that long...

Paul and Kit told me they can't make it today, but I'm expecting everyone else to be down, especially the new ladies beginners from Saturday. No excuses people, I want strict discipline for beginners, no slacking.

Ha! I have an excuse ready/note from my mum. Can't make tonight due to DJ business meeting but all over next tues - generally kicks off from about 8pm doesn't it?

Any beginners action on Saturday at London Fields?

  • Last time I checked, beginners start at 7. Out tonight, had a crash on my way home on Sat, bruises and pain all over. That crash would have been much more heroic if it happened on the court.

And I should say, I am officially back! I fully expect my warm welcome back from you lot next week!

  • Caveat, wont be there till at least 8 tonight...

  • Woop! Hope your knee is nice and strong now.

  • it's not, it's still fucked but since it's something that can't be fixed short term or mid term and there might be another surgery somewhere down the line, I have decided to ignore it. What's the worst that could happen?

  • touch wood/pillar

  • or crash right into you.

Is there a loaner for her?

  • Joni, do you have the loaner atm then? Or has Kev got it? If we have 6 polo bikes we should be ok.

  • Kit has is, so I guess it's out. :-s

  • Bollocks, just gotta make sure we have the numbers then. Mira? Alex and Laurie? Fiona? Angus? Come on people.

  • I'll swing by just after 7 and see if anyone is about. Sorry to be a pain in the arse and not have a bike... and can I point out that I've only every had 2 gos of polo - one on grass, the other on sat with the ladiez.

  • No worries, it's what beginners is for :P I'll try and get there for 7 then, though nobody ever gets there on time. 7-8 is usually solo polo or chillin'.

  • If someone goes down to Peckham... I got the East-loaner in Bethnal Green... but it's a long way down there and it'd have to come back as well.

My mallet is a bit dodgey... is there gonna be a spare? alex is not coming

  • I'll have spares, and I'll also be there regardless of numbers today, it's quite a nice day to be playing polo. We'll have enough for some good games I think.

  • is it peckham or london fields today?
