I have finally ordered some black pipes (6m) as a trial order to see how easy it is for delivery to our studios. Out of interest, anyone actually wants any? Paul and I were thinking maybe 3m for beginners and Ben could have the rest.
Also, my inner tubes seem to keep going AWOL, so I am going to buy another pack of 10 700c specialized 48mm presta valve tubes. I will have 6 going spare for £2.50 each. Any taker?

Are 48mm deep enough for deep v's?
If yes then I'll take 1. -

I think if your rims are 40mm then it'd be OK, the guy at Condor says don't use the ring bit on the valve to give a bit more clearance. I guess you could try the spare one I have tomorrow if you like?

No worries! That'd be ideal actually, but they are much more expensive... don't lend out inner tubes and don't get a puncture is the way to go.

Ok, I think I'll be able to drop by, but if I don't, Joni, it would be cool if you could take it.
Cheers!

You can use 48s in deep v's, but basically just the end of the valve sticks out. You can get the straightening screw on, but not when pumping the tyres up. It's fine unless you use a pump with both Presta and schrader holes because the pump can't tell which is being used. And it's a bit of an arse when you first pump them up.
But for polo it's good because almost no valve is sticking out...
