Friday polo?

Hi guys I'm looking for a set off 26' wheels to finish my polo bike, if any one is selling a cheap pair or want to give them away please let me know

Aah, Kit... There was advice on some polo forum to make the mallets 33 or 36 inches long - and so I did - before realizing that they are quite short and that that video says 40 inches. I'm a centimeter person, so even worse - and so on. Short version of the story: I messed them up, they are bloody short now and I'm looking for another pair of ski poles to make 40inch ones... Guess that what you call learning from mistakes... So I don't know if I will have them finished by Tuesday really. If anyone knows about disused ski poles, would appreciate it... :)

33 is fine, 40 might be a bit too long. The length is not set in stone, it depends on how tall you are. Don't buy new poles yet, try out different sizes on Tues, the spare mallets are of different lengths for a starter. I think people usually have it up to their waist or a bit lower. I have found myself already having to cut mine about 2ins shorter since the beginning.

I keep hearing about this full-face protection debate. Does anyone wear something like this? These are made for squash, so they're probably at least enough for polo.

Yeah, I do, which is why I'm thinking about my eyes. Losing a tooth or breaking my nose I can deal with. Losing an eye? Not so much.

Check out the protection thread, we've tried tested and discussed this a lot.

The answer is more to make sure that people don't swing their mallets high. Mallets shouldn't need to go above your handlebars.

Most mallets are 36" btw.
