Hey guys, when's the next polo for absolute beginners thing occuring then? I've not played before but always fancied giving it a go..

Its on Tuesday evenings in Peckham, but check tonight/tomorrow as it normally needs 6 people to commit to make up the numbers, there is normally a list in this thread which starts on Mondays/Tuesdays.

Just bumped into sandy, showed him the thread, he's stoked, Joni he's using a different number at the moment but said he'd give you a text as he still has your number.

I haz the frame, it's tucked away in the corner so there's no massive rush to pick it up.

I'm working over in hammersmith and living in Southend at the moment but will hopefully be able to play souths and the weekend.

I'm not sure what's easiest for picking up/putting together, I've no tools so might need a hand but will be free all weekend and it's simple to travel into London. I can also supply beers too.

Also, I have some mallets to sell. I have about 3 or 4 ski pole ones for £3 and 2 Perro Del mallets for £5. I'll bring tonight if there's interest.

Interest indeed, what's the difference between ski pole ones and Perro Del ones?

Mallets.

Ski poles are what have been used traditionally and now some people have started providing poles specifically for polo. The latter should last a bit longer but it's subjective.

Heads.
Traditionally yellow pipe was used, it's heavy but you can cut big holes out to make it lighter. Recently black pipe has been sourced en masse as it's lighter and doesn't need drilling, but it doesn't last longer.
Again, some people have started making specific heads for polo.

So I have some ski poles with yellow head, one with black head and the perro poles both have black head.

I'll post pictures when I get home.

Koolies, put me down for a perro one then, it's only 2 quid more anyways, i'll try and remember to bring the money along this time :P

No dice, I'll stick with my old road one until I can afford a Bern. I will be in knee/shin pads tonight though.

We have just run out of balls, but I'm hoping to get more soon.

In the mean time, I do have a few spare red ones from my personal stock I can sell you, at £3 each.

That would be great, how can i pay? I only need one, maybe two.
