Your best bet might be some cheap MTB off gumtree, and then take out the derailleur and shorten the chain.

Thats an idea although the last time I did this it feel apart after a week of readying it and then I snapped 1 of the cranks off.

You wont get much for less than fifty quid I dont think.

I have some spare parts, even if you can pick up a freecycle frame, I can help you out with a back and front wheel (both need some truing work), calipers, brake lever, some risers, maybe a quill stem, a few other bits and pieces. They're not worth that much, you could just have them until you get a job and then give me a few quid for them then.

Sandy - there is a carrera up for freecycle in classifieds somewhere, when I saw it earlier it was yet to be claimed by anyone.

Sandy - you can have my old plug frame and forks.
Its battered and slightly out of line but its free and perfectly fine for polo.

Psyclone are playing BBB tomorrow in the lowest playoff bracket of the league.

No worries, I'd just prefer to see it ridden by someone (Sandy or my mate it doesn't really matter) rather than on the street.

If you can get it on Sandy's behalf and save it from the yoots/the bin that's grand.
