    YouTube - News Team Assemble!

  • That was awesome guys, cheers!

Mr. Guapo, tell us about the outcome of the Krypto saga please.

Oh, and your innertube was in the corner where you were waiting at the start. ;)

  • Hey guys, I'm a journalism student looking to try out something new for an experience feature I'm writing. Anything going on this week that I could come along to??

    Steve

  • There's polo pretty much every day in London. Check the sub forum, see what day you want to come along, post in the thread to ask about doing a feature.
There is also a 'polo in the news' thread which may help you.

  • It was what we thought, I had picked up Jayloo's lock. ehem....Oops?

hey i think you must've taken my swrve black zip-up top by accident. not really.

  • Well I've been at home all week and one thing may have led to another and a polo-bike is now being built. Stupid boredom.

  • Did you get the Bianchi?

The polo upgrades thread is handy, but if you want some tips, then most people have:
    freewheel
    gi's around the 40's,
    V brakes
a double lever if you can work it out, rear brake is fine if not
A bash guard is handy but make sure you don't have any exposed chainrings
    Risers with plugged ends
wheel disks unless you're hand with a spoke key.

    Nice work already Roolbg.

great work rubin. exams are good for getting chores/admin/projects done!

    take heed

  • The Bianchi indeed! And the nice person gave me a bag of levers and brakes. Having a look around, I'm guessing the horseshoe shaped thing on the back of your bike was an adaptor for the brakes to fit 700s?

It'll probably take me a few weeks to get the rest of the bits and to put it together, and probably start with fixed and one brake until I get the double-lever and a freewheel...

  • Yep, mine's a track frame so no brake mounts. You're lucky.
I would say freewheel with back brake is better than being fixed, lots of people run it like that. Up to you obviously.
Nice work on getting the frame.

  • Looks like the loaner is out of action as the rear wheel is knackered. Sorry y'all.
