  • I don't think it's a good idea to spray paint in a public carpark, but do whatever, it's not up to me.

Just bear in mind that the council wardens come round regularly as do the police, and since they turn a blind eye to us drinking in a public place, we probably shouldn't be defacing the concrete.

    And, it's 'casual' polo.

  • Also, is there something going on between you two that I don't know about?

  • i understand Joni. that's why I asked. I think we can make some kind of inconspicuous semi perminant mark to just make it a little easier each week or when the cone gets knocked, now that we aren't playing "bike length" goals.

  • [lurking]
    Chalk?
    'leccy tape?
    permanent / non-permanent markers?
    [/lurking]

  • You know what Joni....i have never met the guy! i know of his legend is all.....

  • whatsay i bring a sharpie?

  • If you had met him, you would know. His legend is true.

I actually usually carry both a sharpie and a tape measure as it goes.

Thanks for the suggestions Fox. Leccy tape should be ok but seriously, a bike length and a bit more should be ok.

    c a s u a l.

  • with a Capital "C"!!

  • listen to what Joni say's about the spray and also read the words that she spelss out so well. c a s u a l
    :)

  • Chewing gum??? :)

  • Laser beams!

  • Joni, am in. Could you bring those bits tonight, please?

  • jumpers for goal posts.

    Sure think Cynth, on it!

  • Surely a small x made with chalk is that is needed, if anything. I can quite happily take a tape measure when I'm down.

Probe be down at 6ish, joni I'll take that wheel.

  • Raincheck, will be in a little later, probably 9-ish :(

  • i haz lekky tape

  • i haz chalk. will be down late... was working today :(

  • Where are pepz?

  • tonight was GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRReat!

Fingers got a bit cold on the way home thou.......... benjamin.

  • Built the dave quinn up today. Will be test commuting on it over the next few weeks... In fact I have to leave for work now, as I'm unsure on my speed on this thing... It's an awfully short frame, but I'm liking it so far. I can't get chunkier than 25c tyres on it, that and the stem length (which will be changed at next paycheck) are my only complaints.

Oh, and people with V-brake adapters: Are there instructions... and, uh, are there such a thing as seatstays that are too narrow to accept them... it looks like I have 3mm from the edge of each stay to its counterpart slit on the plate for the plumbers clips.

  • Ha, no instructions but look at the polo upgrades thread. Go back a few pages and you'll see me asking questions about it.
You'll need to make a brake mount as well as the bridge is too low.

Ask in that thread as I"m sure someone will have the answer to anything you can ask!

  • Be very careful with securing the mounts to the rearstays, do not overtighten and crush them! Old tubes under the clamps will be great to get a bit more grip :D
