Nothing yet, but I am starting to feel better. Lots of rest and avoiding strenuous exercise has helped, I moved house last weekend which I don't think helped at all.
I've had to accept that I am no longer the fastest on my commute though with my current fitness level! It's frustrating and bad for the ego but probably good for my humility and I am learning to ride in a more relaxed way, which is in some ways probably a good thing.
Let me know Fox if anyone gives you any recommendations, someone I know has been the same recently and doesn't know what it is either.

Went for a spin over the hills on my geared bike. Glorious day! feel like an unfit sack of runny, bandy legged poo, ate half a kilo of flies, got put in my place by a gnarled 50 something dude in a TVT shirt, but otherwise beauty of a day and warm enough for short sleeves :o Now off into town to look for work ;(

Well... I cycled into work this morning, for an 8am appointment. It was beautiful (the ride in, not the clinical appointment).Later, I had a nutritious lunch, planning to get back in the saddle for 3.30pm for an early finish - and a pleasant 18m return leg home.
And then the phone went....
Everyone i work with has left. That idiot Scott Mills is on the radio (its the only station that will hold any clarity), and now i have a 6.30pm appointment.
Its not an excuse for not being out right now - its a fucking burden that i call employment. -

@ fox/ spenceey- check for diabetes/ hypo/hyperglaecemia.
classic symptoms, and if you're peeing alot too, head straight to el doctor.... -
• #211
Hmm, that's the kind of stuff I found when I googled the symptoms. I've been putting off going to the doctors because I'm worried they might say something like that, guess I'd better go next week :(
On the plus side I am generally feeling better, presumably diabetes or whatever wouldn't come and go?
Thanks anyway Henry.

I would pop into your local pharmacy tomorrow or A&E and see if they can do you a sugar (prick)test. If you are diabetic you need treatment asap not on Monday. Diabetes is either type 1 or type 2 and you need to know which one you may have. In the meantime, ensure you take enough sugars/carbs during your waking hours so you don't 'slump' like you have been.

I don't have one... but I bought enough food to feed an army, so figured I should bbq before going out on the bike. 11am is a tad early for lunch!

Not if you're a hobbit.
-
• #219
that is true, but a hobbit wouldn't fit on my bike... mind I wouldn't have bought it if I was a hobbit... I see where you are going with this.

Its half one, you can have your BBQ now.
And yes, I was going to pass on your details to Hippy.

At work on a Monday, glorious sunshine outside, I was actually saying to my Mrs. on the drive in this morning I really should have cycled to work. But I'm finishing at lunch today so might be able to squeeze in a few miles this afternoon.

Just worked out in the Gym, really pushed it hard ... am totally shattered now.
We are on a flood warning, so I'm waiting until tomorrow so I can go check out the damage on my bike!
