SuperLuca, get in touch with Andy@lhbpa.org and you should be able to register a team (once you have three, there's a few people looking for teams in this thread).

any news about housing ??
-
• #184
Nothing yet, we are going to try and accommodate everyone within the London community, if this is not possible then we will organise an alternative.
Everyone who registered a team will be sent an email update when things are set in stone and we'll update all the threads, etc.

Kev, the London Open will never be a capped tournament, hence the name, it's all about inclusivity.
The circle format allows us to accommodate any number of teams.
I was under the impression that the 'open' meant it was open to anyone to play, i.e. you dont have to qualify, but surely you will have to have a final date/time for team registration so you can organise the format.
getting people to play their group stage games as close as possible together sounds like it worked well in geneva... i guess it means you know approx when you're playing and dont have to hang around for hours if you dont want to...

... and you can go watch other people's games without having to constantly walk around your bike waiting for the next round

We are two teams from Rouen coming for the open right after Berlin. I'm just letting you know that we'll arrive on Tuesday 17th from berlin and we'll be 8 persons ( 2 teams + 2 friends ) so you can plan the housing. If someone can find us some space on their floor it would be just amazing. Let us know when you have some news.

are you doing the new rules? (like a pass after a ball joint before shooting ect..)
-
• #191
I expect we'll go with the rules from the Euros in Geneva, so, yes*
- up to Jon/Andy really.

Yep, same rules as Geneva, but feel free to have an input here... we'll be dropping the "one time-out" rule.
(Must pass after a ball joint or egg and spoon, etc.)

Some questions for the organisers
1.Which London train station is the closest to tourney?
2.Will this be a two day event? -
• #195
- London Bridge is a 5 minute ride from the courts and Waterloo isn't too far either.

What's an egg?
Egg and Spoon is scooping up the ball into your mallet end, usually off your front wheel cover from what I;ve seen, and keeping it held there, like an egg and spoon race.

London Bridge and Waterloo are pretty close as mentioned above, also Elephant and Castle, the courts are located here:

Are there going to be any safety precautions / rules enforced at the open, e.g. mandatory helmets, no exposed chainrings, and so on?
-
• #200
Yep, we will follow past tournaments.
For example: You need to wear a helmet, no exposed chainrings, no uncapped bars... if your bike or mallet seems dangerous to a referee then you will be asked to sort it out or use someone else's equipment.
Yeah, send me an email with team name and players.
