Sadly I'm around the 1,500 mark (1,555 I think?) and am therefore too late to the party.
I'd probably have to break out the crabon for this one.

Badly.
I've wanted to do the one they do in Portland for some time. -

It's not me that gets injured so it's actually compassion for my fellow cyclists.

Right, if your userid is above 1,000 then there's no point coming forward now as there are already enough reserves should we not fill the 6 slots from sub 1,000 members.
If you are < 1,000 you can still get on the ride... but you'll have to be quick.
The theme of the LFGSS team?
One suggestion (mine) is to do it Rocky Horror style, full drag. Call the team the LFGSS Dragsters or something.
Other suggestions?
We're also thinking it really should be fixed or single... no gears unless there really is a strong reason to do so. That said, I don't actually have a fixed or single right now so will need to buy new wheels damn soon to comply with that.

• #44
I am now sulking.
-
• #45
Is this gonna be fast or slow? I would actually be up for it.
-
• #46
It would be as fast as possible without sacrificing it being as fun and stupid as possible.
What attracted me was the uncontrolled nature, the implication of it being a team time trial, and the rather silly idea that it's also Cannonball.
I suggest a training night should be us watching Cannonball and getting drunk.
And perhaps a few laps of Richmond park to see if we all know how to do through-and-off in some tidy fashion.

I'm 928, and was being serious in my original post

1) A team name
LFGSS
2) Six names of riders plus email addresses
3) Team philosophy (reflects the name and the spirit of our ride)
We'll get there eventually..
4) "Our team should be included because..."
We would be faster than you... if we wanted.
5) Our handicap ( "Slow but determined", "Steady as she goes", "Not to be underestimated", "Warp speed Mr Sulu")
Slow, steady, underestimated warp beer speed

Serious about being team support? I am confused. Do you want in? Are you going to be fit by the time it happens?
Be clear and you've got your slot if you want in.
Hippy, you're in...
