  • We'll its nice and flexible/relaxed, so give the As a go, and if you're way off the pace then there's always go in the B's the week after.

Last weeks results are up. Tomorrow is set to be the hottest day of the year so far. Here's hoping!

  • Does anyone fancy doing a brief write up tonight, and other nights in the future? Similar to the blurb here http://www.hernehillvelodrome.com/21-04-10-track-league-1

Also, anyone (competitor or otherwise), want to take photos? Again, whenever you can, but it would be nice to have someone snapping away every week.

  • I'd be prepared to take photos of the races I'm not in, can't do it this week though batteries aren't charged up!

  • Forgot how hard it is if you want to get placings in this racing lark. Must try harder.

  • The final handicap was the best race for me this year. Don't know what i got, but finished in the winning group.

  • Yeah me too, it was the only race in which I felt even slightly fit.

  • Enjoyed it last night but my legs never really felt that up for it so spent most of my time trying to hang on the back of groups.

  • Yeah it was good last night. I think I got some points so I am happy.
I feel like I am getting faster and fitter and hope to keep with the A's all season.
I opted for the Bs in the points race as that specific kind of fitness - ie recovery - i am really lacking and need to work on. I guess interval training is the way forward with that. But it hurts sooo much :(

  • 3 lap dashes tonight. I know they excite some people here!

  • Out tonight, opting for the pub instead

  • happy birthday!

  • Thank you. Good luck tonight everyone. I was delighted to get some points on the board last week. So no more moaning :)

  • That was good fun tonight. I don't think I scored a single point but I felt like I was actually racing rather than following like two weeks ago.

  • Yeah I felt a 'bit' better, think it's gonna take a few weeks to get into racing proper. But great night, i really enjoyed it.

  • I felt a bit 'meh', but it was a good initiation. Some of you Bs need to move up pronto, especially if Symon and Bryan are going to suddenly bail from races (after madison changes?!?) and leave fucking big gaps.

  • still too many sandbaggers huh?

  • Sandbaggers! pfff. I'm going to move up soon, I'm feeling a bit better but its still hard in the Bs. The devil was just so fast, but got at least 1 point in the points race and 2nd in the 3 lap dash (thanks to the lad in the red top who dernyed me round for 2 laps!!)
But I reckon jumping into the As is the only way to get much fitter. Even if it is demoralising.

  • Thats the spirit!

  • It is a bit demoralising Tom. I was completely demoralised on Saturday to be honest. But I am so pleased to have got some league points and the fact that the one B race I have entered this year, last weeks B points race, I won, makes me feel vindicated for going with the A's. Yes you get much fitter, if it doesn't kill you. And someone has to come last :)

  • looked cold! and dark.

props to you guys, I prefer indoors or daytime for my riding ;)

  • Did you get bitten at all Tom?

  • DOnt think I did in the end. But I squashed a few of the bastards. Cheeky gits they are, just blatantly sit on you arm/leg and suck away without a care in the world! Did you?

  • Nope. Didn't see any and assumed they were all tucked up at home in front of a roaring fire.

  • Not bugs already!!?

I thought they came out later in the year. HH is becoming a dangerous place, I had a bad allergic reaction to the stuff I swept off the track on Monday, lasted a full 24 hours.
