  • Bloody hippy!

  • Your Avatar is a picture of a brakeless bike....

I'm also very far away from anything resembling a hippy. It's not like my user details are some kind of instruction set for sensible living.

  • The Shimano one is the best one out there, it's strong, sturdy, easy and straightforward, whether the only thing good about the trixie is the portability of it.

when it come to sprocket/lockring, it's vital to get it done properly, otherwise it could result in injury, even death.

the only good thing about the trixie is its portability? so not it's lower price, increased number of functions...?

lots of things could result in injury, even death, but no matter how much your lockring tool cost, you can still use it incorrectly, the trixie is absolutely fine.

  • Trial and error (and near death) is all part of the learning experience. I need more practice making wheels anyway. also I've learnt that having a brake doesn't just make me a dork, it makes me an alive dork!

Does it make you a dork?

I think that is quite literally the stupidest thing I've read on this forum

  • brakes are for flakes

  • gears are for queers

  • My sentiments exactly

  • stopping is flopping

  • I need a spoke length of 292.4, I'm guessing I should go for 292mm rather than 294mm?

  • Buy 300mm - you can use the extra for a spokey dokey effect on your brake bridge..

  • no brakes cause breaks

  • skidz are for flids.

  • Will someone turn VL off, I think he's blown a gasket...

  • and also velo http://cyclebasket.com/products.php?plid=m9b0s453p0 x 32 = £12.06 + £6pp = £18.06

The fact that I WIN is slightly overclouded by the fact that I have to shell out more....

  • Will someone turn VL off, I think he's blown a gasket...

it's the fan belt I think

  • for a grand saving of 3p per spoke...
