London 2012 Olympics Tickets

Selection methods:

a) Last out, last in.
b) Boys only.
c) Best exam results.
d) Mario Kart qualifying round.
e) Hipster Olympics.

Why all the moaning about ticket prices? the velodrome costs a bomb and needs to be paid for.. and they know they can fill it over and over again.
I thought they are all alright, got athletics, Mountain biking, Track and Gymnastics.. wont be back here in my lifetime.

The big con is how Visa "proud sponsors" are the also the only card you can use to purchase Olympic tickets..

as i have a visa debit card WIN

i'm assuming that all the catering for the olympics will be mcdonalds :(

^ good point loads of free stuff - 2 road races, 2 time trials (anyone know the route?) and the triathalon.

Also some not so good stuff like the 50km walk.

I'm tempted to dress like a twat and run up Box Hill to keep them company like they do on the big mountains in Europe. Well except 1) it'll be barriered off 2) Box Hill won't slow them down that much and 3) I can't run. Other than that top plan I think

will go to the road race somewhere too

which track day would be the best to go to? cant afford more than one

the one with the least amount of omnium events

A few for the track, Bmx and mens diving. I've got a few for the opening ceremony already.

Hopefully I'll get the track tickets.

Im on there right now, and have 5 day sessions outlined,
cant see how having a VISA is a win Al, but anyway,
if I register for a grands worth of tickets --hypothetically 2 x £95
as to get a good chance,
whats the chances of getting them all,?
(then selling them on here for the days I cant go)

The thing is - they will charge you for your tickets in the middle of may but wont tell you what tickets you have won until june.

So if you have paid with a visa debit make sure you have the max amount of money in you account for the whole of May because you MAY have got all the tickets you have applied for and you will only find out because they've drained your bank account.

I don't think they are transferable BUT there will be an official olympic ticket resale website. But you will have wait until next year for it.

if all else fails..

i'm setting up an olympics week at my girls school, there are five houses and five years, so just need:-

5 bike roller racing (rollapaluza)
5 rowing machines
handball
volleyball
basketball
table tennis
1mile and 3mile runing races in regents park
touch rugby in regents park
triathlon (wonder if royal parks would loan us the lake, hmm)
hockey in the playground
ultimate frisbee in regents park

tickets will be £5 each :)

This. I'd just got to the final page after setting up account/going through repeated Captcha windows for each event I was interested in including pricing at the highest I was willing to pay and the lowest - only to find out that I'd need to have about £30,000 in my bank account during that one month.

I realise I'm a luddite, but it's not exactly clear.

2 Days booked, Friday and Tuesday on the Track.

Am considering also putting down Table Tennis because it's awesome and very reasonably priced.
