  • I don't want to end up watching Peru vs Bongo Bongo Land

Like that's even a place! do you think we're all idiots or something?

"Peru" ffs, yeah right, a likely story.

  • I know right! Are Pere Ubu from Peru? Schick?

  • The website has crashed. Lolz

(serves me right for waiting until the last minute to buy them)

  • (**servers **me right for waiting until the last minute to buy them)

    I'll get my coat.

  • If my tickets come in, I'll be auctioning off 'best friend' status for my spares to the cycling..... payment in cash AND kind.

  • If my tickets come in, I'll be auctioning off 'best friend' status for my spares to the cycling..... payment in cash AND kind.

I never thought of that... I could be doing the same with mine.

  • If all my tickets come in, we'll be eating mostly lentils this year.

  • So who booked for what? I put myself down for 2x the opening, closing & bmx final, mostly all of the track days and the road races.. 460 quid if it all comes in, but doubt v. much that it will..

  • swimming & waterpolo tickets please :)

  • Just went for the Keirin finals day etc. The e-mail confirmation is a little strange, the 'maximum ticket cost' and the 'maximum cost of application' are £50 different...

  • Oh fuck.

  • Applied for a couple of track days, got to say that website is absolutely useless. I registered initially, tried to buy tickets and it wasn't working, so I hastily decided to log out, then tried to log back in and my account had vanished. I blame Seb Coe, Tory cunt

If they all come through at the top end of things, I'm going to be out a couple of grand.

I put in a wide margin for what I was willing to spend, though opted for the lower priced tickets. I went for the wide margin because I saw that ALL of the hospitality slots were sold out (those aren't being done by lottery) and am guessing that the number of applications for each seat in the cycling is massively over-subscribed.

So I'm basically hoping that you're all cheap fuckers and that gives me a chance with a mid-priced couple of seats.

The gymnastics is partly because Fizz is mildly interested, and partly because it used to be the thing that amazed me most alongside track cycling when I watched the Olympics as a lad.

If I get the track cycling tickets, I may do some raffle or competition for the 2nd ticket as I'm not sure Fizz will really want to watch the cycling, or at least she'll go if it's available but isn't deeply passionate about it... to me that says someone who is deeply passionate about watching it should go with me.

  • I've applied for 3 track sessions (2 preliminary and 1 finals session) , 2 boxing (1 medals day), 1 track and field (100 metre relays finals and 5k) and 1 basketball group stage session.

Don't even think I'll be in London this time next year but if plans don't work out I'm hoping to see some of the Olympics.

  • the ticket system completely put me off. if i can get away with it i'd much rather sublet my flat and f*ck off on holiday somewhere with the money

  • booked up 5 events
track cycling plus some BMX action ... finals day
when do we actually find out what we got ?

  • Middle of june - but they will take the money in the middle of may.

  • I booked myself a holiday.
I'd love to go, but don't want to be in London during the games.

when I say booked, I mean organised.

  • a world event in stratford
personally, i'll be there with bells on, soaking up the carnival atmosphere
gigs events sport it'll be great
many things to do and experience

  • I requested the Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony, some of the Track and Road cycling events. Noticed that the time trials at Hampton Court are free since they are on public roads. So I'll probably end up going to those as well. Will be interesting to see how this turns out.

  • Middle of june - but they will take the money in the middle of may.

Yeah I don't get that either. Does this mean in May they will have decided which of your ticket applications have been accepted, and billed for. But you won't be told of which ones until June. Or am I misunderstanding this too.
