Here's a couple of pics I've taken in the last week or so. They're for a photo challenge against my mate, winner buys the loser a drink, or maybe it's the other way round. The theme was 'Flight'. I've gone with stairs rather than planes.
Fucking Boomshanka! Stiff competition against a cloud of pretty French flying ant things, but I beat him off, winning a bottle of scotch (to be shared with him)

I went up the shard, views were strangely underwhelming after having seen Jason Hawkes photos. The place and the people ended up being much more interesting:

Any suggestions for a zoom lens for a Canon 100d (crop sensor). Looking for something like a 70-300 range, stabilisation and up to about £400.
A friend has asked for advice, I know nothing about Canon's (all my stuff is Nikon) and can't work out whether a lot of the lens are full frame but also compatible with cropped or if there are separate ranges like with Nikon.
Basically looking for a Canon mount equivalent of this I guess Nikon AF-S VR 70-300 f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED: Amazon.co.uk: Camera & Photo
Cheers

Basically anything EF is meant for full frame but works with crop sensors with a 1.6x magnification, anything EF-S is designed for crop censors and will not for full frame bodies. I have an old 75-300 that works ok, I'm sure the modern one is good too.

Just for you, Tina, here's something that tilts to the right. :)

The black is level, and this is also strengthened by the stronger shadow under the left part of the black bit. Black is the anchor in the pic.

Yeah.
It's a tough one.
Tilts both to the right, and to the left!
Even more so if you flip it.
I like it!

Cheers, that lens seems to fit the bill nicely.

You're welcome.
Have to admit I never shot with it (only with the smaller range, 18-135mm version of the new STM,
but that was very nice - silent and fast AF, and really good picture quality). -

A few days ago I was Google street viewing Detroit (again)
and tonight I came across this
Thanks!
Came out a lot darker than I thought, looks brighter on my phone. Wish I had my proper camera there instead of my half broken phone, but as the say, the best camera is the one you have with you
