Thats either a massive thumb or a small camera. The controls look really nice and genuinely useful.

SO I bought my first DSLR, it was very much time to move on from my canon s90 compact.

I picked up a canon 500d with the usual kit lenses and a few bits and bobs like flash/filters/mini tripod etc.

But today I borrowed a 50mm 1.8 lens from my uni photosoc after reading about how great they are, and here are a few shots from earlier. Ones I like picked from the many shit ones.

If anyone does have a 50mm 1.8 for sale I would love to take it off your hands!

Nice shots, 50mm 1.8 are cheap on amazon if you're happy to buy from them.

This (pre colour adjustment) was the very first shot I took with my 50 1.8, was very happy with it
