  • Managed to find a Panasonic GF1 body for £75. Will have to start looking for a 20mm pancake lens soon...

How much better is the gx1 than the gf1? At that price i'm wondering if i'll see the difference

Thought I'd check here before making a thread.

Is anyone interested in an EOS M with 18-55 lens and mini flash gun?

I bought it in the summer for £379 and haven't used it too much since as I mainly shoot film now.

  • Gx1 is a bit smaller and supposedly better at low light, but I've used both and couldn't really see that much improvement.

£75 for a gf1 is probably the best value for money I've ever seen in digital photography

Be interested to know whereabouts you spotted that if it's a retail price - got myself a GF3, but have been looking for a second compatible camera for my girlfriend - that'd be ideal.

  • Well, I really wanted this with the 22mm prime. Let me have a hunt to see how much I can get it for on its own then maybe Ill come back to you.

I was keen on that EOS M but I am out as I want something with a viewfinder .. Camera World on Wells St has that 22mm for £100

  • A couple of photos from the abandoned mental hospital near me. Going back in the next couple days with a wide angle to get a couple more.

Just trying to post a photo from Flickr...

    Rest of the photos

  • Nice! I really like the top one, those fake tiles are a good colour... What's it like in there?

Here's some random snaps from this weekend... Just messing around with processing.

  • I like the one of the fire, v nice.

It looks like they have started to salvage parts then run out of money, so there are about 100 wooden doors stacked up in a room and all the windows are taken out. A fair amount of graffiti and splattered paint on the walls. Thought when I first went in there would be signs of people who had spent the night, but nothing obvious.

Its incredibly eerie despite being in central London

Here are a couple more when I took a wide angle lens out.

  • That the Mile End road one?

  • Putney Hospital, on the common.

  • Just picked up a Sigma 19mm f2.8 DN Lens for my GF1 (budget alternative to the Panasonic 20mm). Just wondered if anyone has got one of these?

  • OT, but mrs_com bought me one of these for christmas

  • Thats a "Hobo Stove" kind of thing, right?

  • It's the only reliable method of lighting a BBQ.

  • How much?

Sorry, really forgot about this thread!

    £210 is what I'm asking.

  • New year in Scotland (phone pics)

  • Last one is perfect.

  • Here is the first shot I took after I opened the box to the Samyang fisheye that arrived today. Took some indoor high ISO shots, very impressed with the detail and sharpness at the edges as well as centre.

  • Nice dude.

  • Great light trails

  • that's real nice. more to come??

  • Jebus on a bike those corners are sharp!

  • It's cropped so those aren't the "actual" corners, however looking at the original, the corners are just as sharp....it was under exposed too.
