Bumble bees are great. They just don't care.

Cheers, it was shot at f5.6, 35mm on a crop sensor, ISO 400 +1EV then pulled highlights back in lightroom with a tiny bit of contrast, clarity and saturation. The exposure compensation is basically just to minimise noise and keep some detail in the dark areas.
Aaaand that's the most anorak-ish thing I've ever typed.

Has anyone else had problems with colour management in Lightroom (3, in this case)?
I'm struggling to get any sort of consistency between what I'm seeing in Lightroom and the images it exports, particularly in browsers where all the images are way too dark. The exports definitely have an embedded profile, and I'm fairly sure the browsers (Chrome 28, Firefox 22, IE 10) are all colour managed so I'm assuming the problem is what Lightroom is showing me while I'm editing.
Am guessing it's all related to the wide-gamut Dell U2711 monitor I'm using, but messing with the profiles for that haven't got me anywhere. Might see if a can borrow a calibration thingamy from work and see if that helps.
Pain in the tits.

Didn't know those browsers read colour profile, only thought safari did?

When was the last time you calibrated your monitor? If you try and edit the image in photoshop do you have the same problem?

A couple of my first pics on the 1000D when playing about with it last weekend, much work to do to get the hang of it properly:

I recently picked up the hotshoe EVF for the Lumix GF-1 and took it along with me to Grantham Beer Festival yesterday. Although its a fairly crappy experience compared to the optical VFs on the rangefinders on I cut my photographic teeth on, its a revelation compared to staring at the back of a camera, which makes me feel so self concious. I was using the 20mm f/1.7.
